I also notice you ram temp and usage are higher. Are you comparing same game\benchmark?
I use the same game as Back 4 Blood

2 flow meters he ment,
U don't need them your loop would look clean without them.

It's interesting even your ram is 17c hotter
In the new build

Can u run a synthetic bench in window mode and try to play with fan speeds and pump speed.

I would bet pump speed is the cause of it if u are sure the GPU block is ok.
Had same problem kept pump at 35% and hotspot was 95 going higher speed with water pump temp came down to 75

Those are slim rads 28-30mm ? 120mm fans

Honestly even these temps are ok
Consider I'm running 2x 58mm rads 420mm
With 12 fans on them and have similar junction temps
Core never goes above 45
My pump is always max, the CAM has had a problem for a while and they can't fix it, I have no control over the speed of the pump and it's always running at max. Can i see your build with pictures?
My fan is always at 1800 on LianLi SL 120 unify. I forgot I had a fan for the ram before

Has anyone with an ASRock 7900 xtx updated their GPU Bios with the new EXTREME bios posted on 5/25/2023 on ASRock web page

( ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XTX AQUA 24GB OC )

Can you please upload a copy of your BIOS to this thread or TechPowerUp BIOS database - you can use GPUZ to upload (very easy)

The new BIOS update has a Boost Clock of 2935MHz for the ASROCK AQUA Extreme

The link with the new update is an update app for the new BIOS for the ASRock 7900 xtx (I believe) and not the stand alone actual BIOS.

See post #3120 and after for info

If only I saw this post earlier, would have saved me 30min or more :D
I was able to successfully flash XFX card, but not with new ASRock's vBIOS, it failed, card was not detected, needed to flash it with stock bios first as you mentioned.
Then I updated vBIOS with ASRock's utility so need to test now :D

Did you flash it to back bios as stock pl?

Hey guys! I found the cause. When changing the water pipes I removed the GPU water block to adjust the thermal paste and that seems to be the problem. I took it off again and adjusted it again and it was as good as before.

Lol.....ran 3300mhz in Time Spy and COD. Time Spy score was terrible, but shows that there is more power available with these boards if you can control the heat....and get even more wattage

I better stop playing around with these settings before I burn my board down

No, I flashed the front bios near the gpu die. I did it that way because otherwise I would have had to remove the backplate too, no other reason.
Ok. Because I now have got block contact to stay decent a week, I won´t take it off and flash the bios at the back.
I was looking for prommer from Aliexpress, but delivery times were going to around july 9 and forward, so ended up paying ~15€ more to get it for 8th of june from Amazon since after 12 years my account was unlocked.

Definitely no reason for you to disassemble the whole card.
Waiting for the Core water block to be available for Merc and then do a proper testing.

Edit: typo.

I flashed my Red Devil 7900 xtx with the ASRock Aqua successfully but could not get the ASRock utillity to work kept getting this message :

Can you please upload your new extreme ASRock bios to this thread using GPU-Z its easy to do - thanks

OK I have successfully flashed my Red Devil 7900 xtx to the new ASRock Aqua Extreme bios that has a 2935 MHz boost clock. The tools I used was:

1) CH341A programmer

2) NeoProgrammer V2.2.0.10

3) Had to flash the bios first to the ASRock Aqua stock bios

4) Then flashed it to the ASRock Aqua Extreme bios using the .exe utillity found on ASRocks web site.

I use the same game as Back 4 Blood

hi sure here are some pics of heaven bench at 4k max settings so u can compare with your build
heaven benchmark is free to download so u can try it out and compare result and let me know how your runs

pc pics

u cant see the other 6 fans but they are there in front and on top of the case.
top case are slim fans big ones couldnt fit

case is corsair 7000D fans run at 1300-1500rpm

switching pump speed from 50 to 100% i reduce about 2-3 core temps and junction form 73ish to 68-69
room temp 27 at the time of testing

i run stock mv 1150 i can pass bench tests at 1090 but games are not stable at those settings

youtubers usually run at 20 ambient temps and they have about 44 core temps and 68 junction temperature so if i would run at 20 ambient i think would be even better (will know in winter)

here one German overclooker shows temps with 2-3 different cards and blocks

i don't think u need another radiator in your build and your cpu will not draw more then 100w max in games
