no, you will benefit from fclk 2000, but this is kinda low and highest stable fclk will be better, if you run it at least ~at 2133 or 2167
someone benched this f.x.

6000/3000/2000 = 63,6ns / 63,5ns
6000/3000/2033 = 64,3ns / 64,4ns
6000/3000/2133 = 63ns / 62,9ns

see, latency goes up once you go out of 2000 (which is this 1:3 ratio), and down again if youre way higher
Sorry, I did a typo in my post, was referring to 6200, then 2066FCLK would be ideal for perfect ratio with that.

Its absolutely not for me :)
Only for rich people & contracts
you are right, however im poor, dont have the A+ hardware nor cooling and still love it. Its because most of the categories isnt just brute force alone, but actual skill lol. There is stuff for all kinds of cheap and old and new hardware. I know you like this one, next to the chilled and liquid guys with my cheap setup. I think you would do great with AM4 stuff.

the oldzen RAM tuning comp is for zen 1 and 2 CPU's individual. Overclocking, overclocking, and much more! Like overclocking.

@LtMatt I told you that one day I will win :D

for anyone wondering this is 1080p very High preset (its what Hardware Unboxed uses on his tests) Watchdog Legion benchmark
this is a really strong result, can't match it with -50 all core CO and a balls to the wall overclocked 4090 and 6400 CL26RAM.
Get about 10-15 less average fps, both DirectX 11/12 and windows 10/11. Did you do any specific tweaks to improve this?

Don't worry, it's sheep shearing time I will be having another go at beating my previous best score of 259 FPS.

I can have fun with XOC stuff , but it is not my main focus #17,532
I'm more of a media person and educator / researcher
Started as OCer and that silly title (i asked mods twice for it to be changed, but got ghosted)
Has a deeper meaning outside of tech.

But,
I pushed myself more and more towards a "OC-Researcher" role :)
Am less of an overclocker and can not really call myself that - because i don't like XOC too much.
Well i do like it, but its a toxic environment.

I only will do it, if it is for a Brand/Advertisement or a paid contract.
I would not spend this time if it was for myself.
For myself, and the community i would go for stable and show what is realistically possible.
Be it with the cheapest possible air coolers on something everyone can replicate.
That's always been the case for the last 2-3 years :)
Although some results are quite pushy 🤭

likely new ram training is on with auto.
try to disable options in amd oc > ddr5 options> nitro.

while aida latency is slightly hit, i can use lower vsoc and better pbo boost, getting extra 700+ r23 multi cores.
extra 700? 🤨

I gave up with that bios, was horrible all around for me.

Most of the times I get around 255-257 but sometimes it decides to give me better results or other times little worse.

Haven't dont anything special apart from optimizing windows 10 pro and debloat.

I can give you a tip though : after the game launches to main menu wait 1-2 minutes then run the benchmark

BTW after 6000mhz on X3D CPU it's pointless for gaming, if you tuned 6000mhz nicely then it's all you need for gaming because X3D hits a wall way before non X3D from my experience.

It's all about cooling the chip, I don't have OTT cooling. Just a arctic 280 AIO push and pull fans with noctua nt-2h paste.

Currently getting 68ns with these settings. Any tips on what to change for 2x32GB DR on 7800X3D to improve this?
I don't have much interest going above 6000/6200 since it's mainly for gaming and 7800X3D is less memory speed reliant.

Settings that you can't see on the right are: 1.23V VSOC, 1.25V VDDIO, 1.35V VDD/VDDQ

68ns sounds like many bckground services/programs. Read; Bloated Windows 😆

Buildzoid timings? I have a very bloated OS and would get similar latency under similar timings, nizzen is probably right.
