Hey all!
So I was trying to undervolt my 10900k (stepping G0) and am wondering if anyone has results to compare. Unfortunately I cannot get my undervolt to be stable with Prime95 small FFT test even at a coreV offset of -0.025 (25 mV).
The videos talking about how to undervolt prescribe Cinebench as a test, and my 10900k does complete the test all the way down to -0.08v (10 minute test) without performance loss outside margin of error, and below that it is not stable.
However, as mentioned I also used the Prime 95 small FFT test to ensure it is strongly stable. I've read mixed things about Prime95 so wanted another take.
Information:
MB: Asus Prime Z590-V
DRAM: 32gb DDR4 2666 SK Hynix CJR dual rank, 2x16gb modules
CPU idle temps at 29c to 31c (water cooled with a closed loop)
CPU load temps under Cinebench load at 85-86c, stock voltage
CPU load temps under Cinebench load at 76-78c, -0.08v offset
Tested on fresh Windows 10 Pro
As an aside, I also ran Memtest86 on the memory to make sure the modules are okay, and they all tests on 4 passes without error, so seems not to be a memory issue.
Thanks in advance!
