Nothing in stock in shops near me :(
Ill order some and repaste with NT-H2 or Kyronaut extreme today.
Once it starts climbing up again i should have the Kyrosheet delivered allready.
If you're seriously going to put NT-H2 into a Navi 31 card, please make sure you let us all know, how many days of use it took before you hit the throttling limit.
I haven't seen any results/comments about Kryonaut Extreme(or KPx) with XTX, so that would also be very interesting to know too. Personally I know that regular Kryonaut lasted for a week and made some marks on the die/cooler surfaces.

are there any happy Asrock aqua owners here? Looks like you have to immediately remount block and paste upon purchase as every post i see on the comments on newegg states this. Any input from users here?

just repasted it with NT-H2
My go to stuff normally is Cooler Master Maker.
Gelid GC Extreme is on par to NT-H2 imo.

Tryed to do Vram pads to, looked like 2mm to me but sadly the block didn't make contact with 2mm pads and had to re-use the old ones :(

Hotspot is pretty low again now, 79-80c at 348W TBP (stock power) with fan at just 30%
GPU edge = 64, so only 16c difference between edge and hotspot.

With a bit of luck it will last 2 weeks! :)

Hynix, is trash bin
Oh no! Lost a silicon lottery! Anyway...
and the PowerColor PCB is nothing more than a reference PCB with added single VRM phase, dual BIOS, RGB and one 8pin connector. ASRock's PCB has +2 VRM phases, improved power input filtering, and a lot of empty spaces on the board if you're into modding.
I feel like this much research could've been done without buying anything. Especially if someone's into XOC, as you've mentioned, but this ain't the reason why it's being returned.
If a customer is not happy with his purchase, there usually is a right to return/replace, and there is absolutely nothing wrong doing so.
True. ASRock, technically, would be a better card. But I really have to ask if you were to lose silicon lottery with memory again, you'll keep on gambling returning?
And talking about "vendors" and "abuse" in the same sentence, just think about what they did a couple of years ago.
Terrible excuse.

Is it possible to flash a 7900xt with a custom bios to get a higher Powerlimit?
Yes with external hardware, well you cannot flash a custom bios though just the aqua extreme bios which is the highest power limit available. amdvbflash will not work. You can also wire up a chip to get access to higher powerlimits.

What if you have an Arock Taichi would you still require external tool? I don't even have the Asrcok Taichi but I'm very curious lol.

Yes you would still need the external hardware that clips directly to the bios chip.
So I can flash a XTX Vbios on to a XT?
No you cannot do that.

Looks like now I can do 3000 mhz with 980 mV 1000mV on my 7900 XT pulse. 970 mV ran okay until I started cyberpunk which refused to work on anything below 980.
On older drivers 2900 mhz + 1025 mV was crashing in endwalker bench.

Edit: 980 mV was crashing in warframe of all places. 1000 mV doesn't.

No you cannot do that.
How do you actually know? Both cards have the same BIOS chips, so flashing the content for sure should work (with external flasher).
But, have you, or do you know anyone who'd actually tried does the XT card work with XTX BIOS or not?

Few years ago it was quite common to flash a Vega64 BIOS into Vega56 cards..

I achieved 2700Mhz with 980mV on ASRock 7900 XT. I was able to run it on 970mV without crashing but I noticed periodic stutters when benching Heaven and when gaming, on Spider-Man Remastered I had a hard freeze for a second. My goal is to run it on stock frequency with as low voltage as possible but I see some people are able to run higher frequencies with my voltage.

I'm not sure what the minimum frequency should be, I currently have it on 500Mhz below the max (2200Mhz) because Ancient Gameplays told me to.

I'm also not sure if I should keep lowering voltage until I straight up crash and call it good, or if I should pay attention to the performance to see if there are any noticeable stutters, drops, hitches etc.

Greetings,
Does any of you know if your 7900 XTX crashes at default settings in Port Royal (using latest drivers)?

Edit: Time Spy Extreme runs fine, but Port Royal just Crashes.
Hey, welcome to the club :)

Works fine for me

Here are my 7900XT Nitro+ (on Samsung sticks) results in TimeSpy - it looks like it will be hard to exceed 30k pts, around 29k is achievable even with 3000/2700/1050V clocks - raising them doesn't do much anymore.

Interestingly, I have to do OC settings in MSI Afterburner, because Adrenalin has a bug that doesn't enable OC changes on my PC :D

i returned my powercolor liquid devil and exchanged it for the asrock 7900 xtx aqua at microcenter today. The powercolor was artifacting @ 2650mem but at 2620 it was "ok" and it had hynix mem. I opened up this asrock aqua, did a repaste on it as its been known to have terrible mounts from factory. i added kpx to the core and reused all factory pads cause waterblock came off with no issues at all. i was very upset to find out this card has samsung mem while block was off. reinstalled everything, booted her up and flashed to the asrock performance bios and holy cow! this thing is a damn beast.... i get 560w in timespy with a boost clock of nearly 3050mhz steady. I couldnt believe it. I have mem @ 2650 (fast timings) and scores keep climbing, so i havent hit the error correcting yet, but can samsung actually go past 2650?? Is this common for samsung? already better then my hynix which it should be the complete opposite! that powercolor liquid devil was an openbox sale so maybe thats why it got returned as the artifacting was bad. heres to hoping this asrock has a better life. this performance bios is crazy!

If you want to use adrenalin you can export your overclock and settings to desktop and then import the overclock when you restart your PC. That's what I've been doing since adrenalin loads an old overclock every time I restart my PC.
