Anyone using their 7900 XTX on a 750w PSU? I am not sure what's happening in my case but my Asus TUF keeps on downclocking in basically every game/stress tests. If I try to force things in the tuning menu, my drivers crash.

For example, if I increase graphics settings in CS2, the game and the drivers just crash, at completely stock settings

PSU - 750 G3
GPU - Asus TUF 7900 XTX

It may not be the problem but they do recommend a higher wattage PSU. In my old X570 5800X I had a 850W PSU and never had any issues but since I upgraded to a X670E 7800X3D I now have a 1000W PSU.

Can you post GPU core temps and hotspot temps? When stressed?

23.9.2 Vegas Pro inverted/wrong colors during rendering still not fixed 😭 (old bug introduced in 23.8.1+ ... 23.7.2 is fine)

Screenshot Display device Software Multimedia Event

(or someone mentioned wrong colors in browser in videos when HW acceleration is on, although I dont have that problem)

Hey guys! How is the XFX Merc 310 7900 XTX compared to the others? I heard it has the highest power limits outside the liquid cooled ones and it's not as expensive as the higher ties cards like the Nitro+ and Red Devil. Only that its fans are loud but I don't care. Also, it the power limit relevant or you can increase it with MPT like the 6000 series and before? Thanks!
I wouldn't consider Red Devil as a better tier than Merc. RD is basicly nothing more than a reference board with added 8pin connector and bigger cooler. XFX Merc PCB is superior, but yes the cooler is told to be loud with stock fan curve.

When I've had an insufficient PSU, it has just simply shut down under heavy load. If the PSU is really crappy quality it can cause some weird issues, but that shouldn't be an issue with Supernova G3.
What are your hotspot temps? Might have a problem there. Or do you have any sketchy software installed? Like, anything else than a basic Windows installation and AMD drivers?
I've seen that hugely bloated software packages from hardware vendors can cause a LOT of weird problems. Yes even from AMD. What unbeliveably many guys seem to think are "AMD driver issues", are not that - they're actually AMD Adrenaline issues. Drivers itself are very solid these days.

Anyone else noticed in the latest AMD driver 23.9.2 HWInfo no longer reads sensors like GPU memory temp and GPU total wattage useage?
Yes, with old HWInfo 7.50. Updated to newest 7.62 and everything is back again.

HELP!!!! Long story short, I have a 2week old asrock 7900 XTX AQUA.... gpu temps stay at 40c (ish) but hotspot goes to 100c+ ... so the day I bought it, I did a repaste, and that helped some, but still wasnt really great as gpu temp stayed the same, but hotspot went to max 88c on 3dmark timespy. Now I just went and did a timespy run and hotspot immediatly went to 105c so I canceled run before something would get damaged. ***! what do I need to purchase to fix these run away temps. obviously paste is not a great option for chiplets. Advise here please!!!!!!

Thanks, ill order 40x40 pads then :)

Are they easy to cut to size?

The Nitro is the best imo.
I would avoid the Asrock Phantom gaming (the Taichi is ok'ish), no experience with the others.
what pad did you order for the gpu core and what thickness? Im dying here with my asrock aqua hitting 105-110c hotspot temps too, and this is after a repaste!!! Will switching to a "thermal pad" make the mem contact off now? Should I order thincker mem pads? Not sure here!

ok, update... please someone tell me i did okay here and one of these 2 products I just ordered will work!?

Honeywell PTM7950 SP Super Highly Thermally Conductive PCM Pad 50x31mm .02 thickness
and
KryoSheet 33 x 33 .02thckness

You got some great options.

The PTM7950 if I recall is good for air cooler, since it reaches high enough temperature to soften up. Might not do as well on water block due to low temperature.

Kryosheet should be decent for either air/water.
I think on kryosheet you want the 25x25 size. I am fairly sure that's the size I used on my 7900xtx. Someone just posted the size of the die a page back or so in this thread.

Sorry for my messy post but was just browsing thread while in bed ready for sleep. Look back a few pages for the most recent answer for kryosheet size.

Is anyone noticing a memory leak in AMD drivers since 23.8.2 ??
It gets reported only by HWinfo64 as "GPU memory usage", whenever a game runs that used memory keeps creeping up and does not get released when the game is stopped, the reported used gpu memory stays up until the system gets rebooted.
Strangly windows taskmanager reports a to be expected amount of gpu memory used that does come down after closing game, so something must be wrong in the amd driver itself.

thank you for the reply.... will it be okay to cut the kryosheet down a little?

Is there a consensus on what is the best AIB 7900 xtx? Was thinking of going for one of the sapphires. Should I avoid the reference model?
