Which one is better with cooling performance and ease of install on a Intel i9 14900k?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Thank you. They perform similarly but the Arctic has fitment compatibility issues with my motherboard and case while the EK did not.
Has the failing pump design issue already been fixed?Lian Li Galahad II Trinity Performance no question
1st gen Galahad, MSI Coreliquid, Enermax Liqmax are made by Apalcool / Apaltek.Has the failing pump design issue already been fixed?
YesHas the failing pump design issue already been fixed?
Designed yes, still manufactured by apaltek1st gen Galahad, MSI Coreliquid, Enermax Liqmax are made by Apalcool / Apaltek.
2nd gen Galahad is supposedly designed and manufactured in-house to Lian Li.
Did Lian Li already release a V3 revision? Last I checked, the V2 rev. still had issues of noisy pumps that eventually failed.
Hmm not sure, but that information is probably on the lian li subreddit, somewhere if they didn't officially say anything.Did Lian Li already release a V3 revision? Last I checked, the V2 rev. still had issues of noisy pumps that eventually failed.
I bought the V1 but I haven't used it. I'm planning to do an RMA when I found out about the pump design flaw so I'm still waiting for a completely fixed revision before I go through with it.
Thanks my ambient in our house is normally 23 C to 25 C give or take.Have EK Nucleus 360 RGB's on both my 14900K rigs. Haven't delidded either of them yet and they both run quite comfortably at 57p/45e with never getting anywhere close to a throttle point.
I'll be watching closely for some in-depth reviews of EK's upcoming direct die 360 AIO; if the direct die version of the EK Nucleus 360 performs significantly better than a typical delid/relid w/ IHS then I'll likely decapitate at least one of the 14900K's.
For now, I'm not in a hurry to delid either of my chips as stock IHS performance with the EK CR360s is phenomenal.
Several days of constant work/gaming/etc. and HWINFO generally shows the hottest p-core hitting 81C throughout that time which is perfect imo. I can't justify chopping either of them up just yet due to that alone.
I haven't done extensive testing but did do some quick 5 min loops of CBr23 a bit back.
Stock 14900K (not delidded) saw the hottest core hit 80C to 83C during a 5 min CBr23 loop running an all-core clock of 57p/45e. I believe the ambients were about 20C when I did this; 10min+ would have likely got the max temp up to 85C or so.

Unless they improved their mounting mechanism and Z-height, these can't be recommended. On their previous offerings, you can't even use liquid metal without a third party backplate, because there isn't enough pressure on the CPU IHS as the clearance tolerance is too low.How about this instead? Copper radiator, extendable and refillable.

Not quite the quality of a custom loop (especially the fans), but certainly better than the typical AIO.
I have 3 Galahad Performance at my place because of RMAs ... a v1 and two v2s ... The latest i did ask for Lian Li to send me the rev.3 but they still sent me a rev.2Did Lian Li already release a V3 revision? Last I checked, the V2 rev. still had issues of noisy pumps that eventually failed.

Thanks but by how much ? 1 C degree less, 5 C degree less, or what ?EK Nucleus CR 360, RGB or DARK version. Best AIO I've used. Have one on both of my 14900K rigs.
