the benchmark wont run in 4k for me. I try to set the custom resolution, but it still runs in 1440p
If your panel is 1080p or 1440p, enable DSR factors in the NVIDIA Control Panel and apply legacy scaling to 3840 x 2160. Once enabled, test again, and if it still doesn't work, you can create a custom resolution, setting your desktop to 4K (with DSR on). Then, launch the benchmark at 4K, and you're good to go.

Does anyone have an idea what power limit the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 WINDFORCE OC SFF 16G has?

Also: how far is it worth buying a better custom model? What concrete differences can be identified? Better fan? What else, if at all? I'm starting to wonder if and to what extent it's worth spending much more money on better customs.

It would be really great if someone would help me with these questions.

Tomorrow, I will test Cyberpunk, Spider-Man 2, Horizon Forbidden West, etc..
I just ran Heaven with a 4090 and a 13900k ddr5 6800 and only got 128fps..

Your 5080 is a beast. Also scored the exact same in Wukong 136fps. Wow nice Overclock

Something still feels off there though. I tried comparing to this video and was well ahead in both SotTR and CP2077. Pretty much no other evidence that the 5080 is as fast as a 4090 when both overclocked. Haven't found it yet anywhere else at least.

Try these games as well to see how your 4090 performs:

Make a video like this of the monster hunter wilds with your 4090 maxed out:

Or you can compare other games like:

Dead Space Remake 4K Ultra HDR + RT on | RTX 5080 @stock Benchmark Performance Test

Resident Evil 4 Remake | RTX 5080 4k Ultra + RT with no scaling | Benchmark performance Test

The Callisto Protocol 4K Ultra HDR + Ray tracing | RTX 5080 undervolt

SILENT HILL 2 Remake | RTX 5080 4K Ultra DLSS Quality + FG and RT

Let me Know the % . I had 2 years and 3 months 4090 Suprim X and my experience with the 5080 is slightly better in every single game I have tested so far—without even considering the use of MFG, which makes the experience significantly better.

I'm power limited at 450 watts though. I Don't have dual bios or igpu so I'm to chicken **** to flash bios. Pretty sure I could gain 3-5%.. Also think he's using a PL past stock for his 5080

And that's just these benchmarks. I seen his steel nomad and timespy gpu scores. I get higher (TSE gpu score 20.4k) but damn it's pretty close. A OC 5080 gets damn close or even beats 4090 stock in some tests

For each voltage I think it's stable at those frequencies but I am still trying to find the limit. For Steel Nomad it failed at +500 but passed at 475 1v which on this card is around 3.2GHz. I am so close to the 360 watts power limit in that benchmark that I am seeing how high I can go at 0.975v using a curve, and so far it seems stable at 3.1GHz but still pushing. The card boosts higher when the temperature is 60 degrees than when it is 65 degrees. The Ventus 3X has a fan profile that is not particularly aggressive so I made a new profile that keeps it a bit cooler. I will mostly game at around 2.8GHz 0.9v to save power and keeps the temps down. It seems to be stable or at least very close. I haven't crashed yet.
How is your memmory temp?

How is your memmory temp?
I'm not the person you asked, but my Ventus memory temp is 78-80C in Steel Nomad and 84C in Port Royal(with default fan curve).
I'm gaming on 2865mhz@900mV, better performance than in stock and atleast 50W lower power consumption with 160fps cap on 3440x1440.
Memory OC doesn't seem to affect temperatures, but i keep it +500mhz on VRAM, tho +2000 is also stable(not sure if it's good for lifespan and GDDR7 should be fast enough anyways).

Thank you for the answer. I still wonder how much it is worthwhile for me to buy much more money for a "standard" card. It's about practically the same performance, otherwise everything should be the same, right?
It'll have less cooling capacity and may limit your performance by 2/3% however the silicon quality/lottery and your overclocking capabilities also play a part.

In the grand scheme of things your likely looking at unnoticeable differences in framerate.

Loading CyberPunk 2077 today,.. ready to install 5080 FE tomorrow,.. I wanted new 12V-2x6 cable before installing the new card.

How is Seasonic's new cable going to fix bad hardware design. Buildzoid explains so clearly what happens to cables and connectors due to NVIDIA's seems like either "cutting corners" or not learning anything from 4090's or just playing pure ignorance.

5090's and 5080's are doom to burn just a matter of slight glitch in power delivery. I would suggest not to leave your PC unintended or your residence will go into flames and I'm not trying to be sarcastic.

I now tried to flash the bios of the Gigabyte Master 450W, but without success on my MSI Ventus.

The flash is done, but it is not possible to install the drivers, always getting a GPU error in the device manager.

Same as what happens with Suprim Bios

The funny thing is that the Waterforce bios works well.

If anyone wants to test, here is the "silent" bios, it was shared on the hardwareluxx
