@Alacrity30 great PR score. Have you tried running +3000 mem? Saw your top time had mem clocks below that, might be enough to bump you to top 10.

What card are you running, and are you achieving 45c just with ambient and full fans?
Thanks, depends which benchmark you’re referring to but I pretty much run all of them at +3000 mem now since I seem to be able to complete most if not all tests with that.

TUF OC

Putting PC near open door during 10c ambient temps so usually not running full GPU fans. Not sure if bro science but I seem to get higher scores whenever I turn the fans down a bit. My Steel Nomad PR was both fans locked at 40% and case and cpu fan at 100. Longer tests I try to run them at 70ish but I have some high scores with 100% fans as well so who knows could just be run to run variance.

I didn't think it was possible to buy video cards from b&h. Congrats.
They started sending out the emails a few weeks back, send you a link and you have 24 hours to purchase a card. I have had 4 or 4 offers already, turned them down. 2400-2700 for a 5090 and 1450 for a Asus Tuf 5080. Today I got an offer for a 5080 PNY, thinking about it.

I scored 14,725 in Nomad DX12, and 14,500 in Speedway.

These seem reasonable? I’m using PCIe Gen 3.0, Rebar is disabled.
Sounds fine if you're at stock. PCI-E 3.0 is because Mobo/CPU? Even then for those 2 specific benchmarks, PCI-E gen shouldn't affect the scores too much.

Did anyone gain a large amount of overclocking headroom with this new driver? I went from +210 on the core to +330 on the core. Is it because the voltage slider works now and I have it at +100? Last driver I used was 572.47 and the voltage slider was bugged.
What voltage you got right now ? My astral after the new driver with +280 on the core is constantly hitting 1.1-1.12……

Just got a 5090 Astral and trying to push some PR runs but my score are stuck around at 40350-40400……. I try to do+280 on core and 5000+on ram any higher than it crashe. I think that is it HHHH without some force Air cooling mod just set ALL fan to 100%…….

That's about right, comparable to my TUF OC at almost same settings. Try the new driver and push your core to +400, should be able to get 40700 to 40800.

Also, 1.1+ V sounds high for PR. Try leaving voltage offset at default 0. Pretty sure I get better scores just leaving this alone.

What software are you using ? Afterburner or GPU tweak ? I have a TUF OC too on my other system too but it max out PR at 40100-40150 the V core seems like get locked at 1.06V…… not like the astral i got can push to 1.12V. I also tried to flash the Astral bios in to tuf oc no luck…..Is this just bios different or the astral really have better chips ?

GPU Tweak, my v-core runs about the same 1.045 to 1.06ish max in PR... No clue if Asus is binning better chips for the Astral. Could also be system optimization. I make sure to halt all unnecessary processes, case/GPU fans @ 90%, rbar on (rdr2 settings), vsync force off, texture quality max performance, hdr off, 1080p, limited 8-bit color, all osd displays off, stand alone 3D mark version.

Try out "GTA V Enhanced Edition" in 4K DLSS4 DLAA Transformer Model Preset K, enable RTX HDR and set <RTIndirectDiffuse_SecondBounce_Enabled value="true" /> in the game's settings.xml file.

Visit Michael's house in Rockford Hills, the "De Santa Residence," and walk around in its living room, go upstairs - just stroll around and explore the house.

Then, post your GPU Power Consumption :)

Amazing Temps for AirCooled !
Fans at 80% on the GPU and 100% on my case. But I only ran it for a few seconds to see if it would crash at such a high core clock.
If I run the full benchmark, it will probably go over 60 degrees even with the fans at 100%. But this 5090, with a hardmod, block, and custom water cooling, shows a lot of potential. I’m not sure if I’ll finally decide to put it under water, but things are looking promising.

I think it'll be great under water

I got around to trying to launch my own Zotaс
Technology Computer hardware Packaging and labeling Electronics Video Game Software

unfortunately it was unsuccessful (nothing has burned yet ha ha) all the ROP`s are in place

the card didn't fit into the case because the tops of the pumps prevented it from being inserted into the case
Sorry you have to see all this dust and dirt) Kitchen renovation helped my computer look like this

I decided to try using my old raiser v 4 and some materials at hand:D

in general the video card works in x4 mode
2.0\.3.0\ 5.0

I didn't do any benches with this mode, so I launched Furmark for about 3 minutes and then just turned it off - it was scary, so I also turned on the thermal camera

yes i used the old cable mod cable for corsair ax1600i
now i need to do everything new including replacing the power supply
as well as general cleaning and moving the pump tops to another place

I thought I could do it quickly, but this is what I managed to achieve before going back to work))
sorry for the mess

Here is a question - related to working out what shunt value one should stack for the RTX 5090
Here are all the pieces of the puzzle.
the card's bios is set to 600w
power through the 12pin, when under max load, is 600w
when using the shutmod calculator it assumes the PCI power counts to the cards power limit. Does it? Does the bios power limit only look at slot power?

Having the slot power factored in (or not) is very impactful to working out the new shut. (Maybe? or is 650w vs 750w minor? maybe some other limit would stop the card from pulling that much power? ignoring transient power spikes - as those already hit 800w on my unmod'd Astral.)

(and if it doesn't factor in the PCI then doing a paintmod works as that is kinda equal to 15ohm (and going by the 0 pci power calculation, that is a boost of 80w to 12pin (or loss if total card power includes the pci.)
shrug

TLDR, should one factor in the PCI power when looking at BIOS limits? And, if no, should the value for the shuntmod calculator be 0 for Slot limit?

Based on my tests on the 5090, it seems it uses max 11-12W from the slot, so you could add that to the shunt calculation.

If it's needed, probably not but maybe to discard balancing issues you could do it. It will go from 11-12W to like 13-13.5W.

What are the advantages of an AIO card versus an aftermarket air-cooled version?

How big of a difference will there be in terms of temperature and overclocking?

I saw a review by Hardware Unboxed wherein changing the BIOS from Silent to Gaming and increasing the fan RPM from ~1200 to ~1600 reduced temperature from 77c to 67c in the The Last of Us Part I. Since I don’t mind running the fan at high RPMs during gaming, I was wondering whether the non-liquid version will overclock just as well with a more aggressive fan curve. Correct me if I’m wrong though, because I don’t want to regret my decision later on.

My local store got a new shipment of 5090s, but they only have the Suprim SOC but not the Suprim Liquid SOC. Hence the immediate concern as to whether I should just snag one while they’re still available.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If you are Looking for Binning or OC potential its absolute Silicon Lottery

My Inno3D X3 Non OC makes 3,3GHZ with Xtreme WF WB Bios and this is one of the Cheap MSRP Cards and got very Lucky
