Trouble removing a partition

I've just discovered a partition on one of my drives Claiming to be "system reserved" what is this? as i've never seen it before. I've tried to remove it but as you can see it wont allow me to.
Any ideas on how i can remove it??

Yeah, you can't, it's reserved by the system. Which means it's needed.

It is created by Win7, it is needed. It's something like a swap file, only on a separate partition.

reserved for what tho??? it's only just appeared, and i've just had to delete win7 due a bsod issue i could not recover from (im back on vista till i sort my issues out) and now i find this partition its on a hdd im not even using right now so i dont see how the system can be using it!

im not using using win 7 anymore i've removed it and formatted the disk it was on

is for recovering the system, many laptops makers have that partition like my asus eeepc

if you dont need it delete it by gparted, or easeus partition,

That partition is most likely tagged as being "System reserved". You may have deleted W7, but since that partition wasn't deleted before installing Vista, it was simply recognized as a System partition.

As sixor said, use Easeus Partition to remove it.

I have tried using Easeus Partition to remove it, but that wont allow me to delete it either says it's in use??? but by what?

1. Boot from any live CD and delete it.
2. Why bother? It's 100mb...

umm... its not for swap or recovery. It is a boot loader partition!
is it marked active? if its active that means you cannot delete it.
the active partition contains your boot loader. am i rite?

oh ic whats going on. i saw it on disk 0 I assumed you had your system on it. now i see that your c drive is marked active. what you can do is use gparted on a live cd. just delete the partition table. make a new one. i'm old fashioned like that, my system drive has to be disk 0.
