Is there any diference in accuracy, smoothness between 400 dpi high sence in game and 1800 dpi with low sense in game ?
In both cases 360degree in 95cm, the same mouse, 1920x1080
I asking this because I feel more accurate with 400 dpi
Or its just my personal feelings ?
sorry for my english

Lower sensitivity/higher dpi is of course more accurate. Keep your windows mouse settings at level 6 for 1/1 pixel mapping ive been told.

You may just feel more accurate as the cursor moves slower.

For a detailed answer look here, all the info is there: http://www.overclock.net/t/1251156/an-overview-of-mouse-technology

But in short: dpi is merely sensitivity, it is not related to accuracy. Only in extreme cases where your sensitivity is so high that your smalles turn covers so much angle that it looks like skipping of pixels (talking from an FPS perspective). That is the best way I know to explain it in layman's terms. But anyway, in that case you should simply lower you sensitivity. If you feel better playing on 400 than play on 400. Simple as that with dpi.

Depends on where you feel more accurate. On your desktop? Well, of course- your sens is 4.5 times higher.
In-game in theory with a flawless sensor there shouldn't be a difference in accuracy since at your sens your threshold is at about 165-170dpi, meaning you won't benefit from more dpi.
Depending on the sensor used in your mouse, it's possible that higher dpi settings introduce sensor deficiencies such as jitter, which is what you might experience as inaccurate behaviour.
Also, if 1800 is not the sensor's native resolution it also might feel different to 400 (if that's native) due to interpolation.

Especially with ultra low sensitivities such as yours, flaws in cursor behaviour are very noticeable.
If 400dpi is fine for you working on your desktop @1920 then use it.

I dont care about desktop accuracy, all I need is to feel accurate in game.
I ask this question because I have two Deathadders: 4G and 3G. I was playing on 4G with 400dpi, than I have read on this forum that 3g has better sensor on native 1800dpi. That is why I changed dpi to 1800 on my 4G. I want to try this setting and only after that I was planing to switch to 3G deathadder. When I try to play on 1800dpi 4G I feel less accurate than on 400dpi.
3G and 4G have no jitter on my mousepad

and again sorry for my english

When the DPI is too low, you will need to use such a high sensitivity, you will ''skip pixels'' when moving the mouse in games.

Then a higher DPI with a lower Sensitivity will give better results, because you will keep the ''pixel precision''

Another reason that 400 dpi might be better for you, is if you play a game with the same engine as CS 1.6, where high dpi hits the sides alot faster - (that engine constantly tries to 'reset' your cursor to the middle, but if it dosent do it in time before it hits the sides, it introduces negative accel like mad, specially at lower resolutions)

I am not referring to the video, but to a forum entry made some time ago about the g400's dpi scaling and the DPI relation to possible jitter or how is it called? I think he said jitter actually means when the sensor goes off sometimes and that the correct word for uneven lines is another one.

I think this thread is going to the wrong way.
All I need to know is higher dpi good or bad or identical in accuracy ?
Without considering jitter, prediction and etc. Only things is important: distance for a 360 degree has to be the same and both dpi has to be native
Can someone check this on his mouse and write here what does he feel in terms of accuracy ?

Completely depends on the mouse unfortunately. Most have a sweet spot where they perform better. For your DA 3G 1800 dpi is the best step. Period.

Next page is 900 and 450 dpi. This was the first mouse where Sujoy tested other dpi settings than the highest which lead to many people believing that highest = best, even though many of the mice he tested would have been better on their lower dpi settings (mx518 for example).

it can take along time to get used to faster dpi i went from a 400dpi to my mouse i have now that can go up to 8400 i have it at 1600 and im happy with it.

movement sensitivity vs polled rate.

Consistency of tracking comes from being able to move the cursor at full speed or max set integer. The rate in which your mouse is updated is not always static.

You can compensante by limiting updates, and increasing DPI, or decreasing DPI and increasing updates. From there, it turns to preference and experience with specific settings.

On hardware level, it's a matter of FW and internal or external clock timers. Only really a concern for 1k hz.
