I have the Gigabyte Xtreme Waterforce card. Jays2Cents did a video on the Power Color Liquid Devil Ultimate. Basically the memory is only slightly better then a regular 6900XT. I got a grand total of 8MHz above 2150 before the card started crashing from memory errors. The GPU itself I can get up to 2780MHz before I start having the game crash. My water loop struggles to keep the Ryzen 5950X and Xtreme Waterforce card cool while playing games. I haven't witnessed the temperatures going past the low 80s even with a warm room that I am playing in. The reason I went with the Gigabyte instead of the Power Color Liquid Devil Ultimate even though the Gigabyte card is longer is because the Gigabyte has a higher out of the box boost speed. I gambled that meant that Gigabyte did a ok job with the thermals and it seems to have paid off for me.

 

You didn’t add the XFX Merc 319 Limited Edition Air Cooled card. I am pretty sure it’s a XTXH.

 

I can confirm that the XFX Speedster MERC 319 Radeon RX 6900 XT Limited Black is in fact XTXH. I purchased the card from Newegg at $899USD and installed it yesterday.

Based on this it appears its the same card but sku'd differently in different regions of the world.
There are 3 different version of the TOXIC. 2 of them are watercooled version.

 

The only XTXH Sapphire is the Toxic EE. Nitro+ SE is XTX.

Aftermarket blocks available for the RDU and OC Formula as well.

Also, the unreleased 6900XTX doesn't have 18gbps memory. It is the same memory as all the other cards at 16gbps, but with higher voltages to support higher clockspeeds. Unsure if timings are looser. You can flash the LC bios on an XTXH and get the same speeds. I can't confirm for myself, but others have done that and have gotten around 2350MHz.

As it stands now, the best overall PCB is the OC Formula. It's also the cheapest XTXH, air cooling performance is pretty good and you can get a block for it.

Hey, I just got the MSI Gaming Z Trio - upped the power limit to 350w on both options but not done any overclocking yet.

 

There is one more XTXH - AMD RX6900XT LC OEM and now you can buy one of those

Strange thing - almost all AIB versions (OC Formula and ROG Top) - have 16Gbps speeds on memory, while XTXH should have 18Gbps as have OEM version. Wonder why's that...

Yeah by default that memory is at 2250mhz. I haven't tried that yet myself on my gpu.

 

So, the Sapphire Radeon RX 6900 XT NITRO+ SE 11308-03-20G is not XTXH?

 

I decided to ask Sapphire directly regarding that exact SKU. They confirmed it was XTX.

I have the 6900XT LC
Bought it at Micro Center under PowerColor brand but it looks exactly like the AMD one in the 1st post. I assume AMD couldn't sell it directly and PowerColor sold it on their behalf. It was also in a cardboard box, with a large sticker on the front with the name/image of the GFX card. OEM/bulk packaging and not at all a retail box.

6900XT LC has been hard to research. Seems to only be mentioned as sold to OEM PC builders.

The only other way to prove it is through screen shot using HWInfo. Which will read the bios and tell you in the System Summary of the GPU portion.
It would have been nice if GPUz could do this as well.

 

Ok, from what I've just learned the new 6950XT that will come out in the near future will "essentially" a OEM 6900xt watercooled. With better memory at 18Gbps.

So a more optimized version of this ^^^ without needing watercooling in order to achieve it.

 

So, the memory on any of the existing XTXH like Toxic Extreme can't really be clocked with any bios to 18Gbps? Although, with the price it gets to being essentially 3090, one could as well go NV and 24GB VRAM.

I've read about some interested in the xtxh. But when I searched for them myself I found it very cumbersome to understand what the lineup of different xtxh aibs are out there. It's like you have to be "in the know" to know what a xtxh is vs xtx or xt. So, I thought I would create a thread showing you the XTXH variants I've found so that it's a bit easier for you to know what to look for if you decide to buy one. This took me a bit to compile. As I came to understand there were both watercooled and air cooled XTXH variants. It's by no means a complete list. If I find more I can update the list. Or, if there is a mistake I'll take it off.

Also, be aware of some 3 plugged pcie 6900xtx out there. It's part of the reason it took me so long to compile this list. If you are not sure of a particular 6900xt not listed here post about it in this thread so the community can research/discuss it to get to the truth.

That's why I posted the above in the OP. There is no clear cut way to know unless we see screenshots using HWINFO64 that does shows if the gpu is xt, xtx or xtxh.

Yes they are! I just got a Asrock 6900XT Formula OC XTXH card open box from MC for 699$ today.. Couldnt resist and purchased it. this is now my 3rd 6900xt card and debating to waterblock it or not.. Boosts to 2800MHz+ in FC6 @ 3440x1440 ... Not to shabby! Beats the 6500xt that was in there! LOL

Should I get Asrock 6900XT OCF for 1050$ or wait for 6950s or even 7000 series? I had 6800xt and sold it to a good price and I can get by with my 1080ti.

 

im very impressed with my OCF 6900. this is my 3rd 6900 and so far my best one yet. Do you have a MC near you (have no idea if you are in the USA) if so see if you can find an openbox version of it like I did and almost pay 1/2 that price

 

How much power does it pull, how hot does the hotspot get and what is the frequency at stock settings? With the air cooler.

 

It's a shame we have to come to down slope of RDNA 2 production life cycle before we are able to confirm the XTXH.

 

They really should have given the xtxh a product name of its own.

 

Keep in mind this is running on PCIe 3.0 (X370 board with a R7 2700x and DDR4-3200). So, the scores would be higher if it was running on X570 with a R95950X and faster ram.

 

Could you try MSI A/B to see if it shows you vram temps?

 

20C between edge and hotspot seem about right.

 

I can't say for certain; this card replaced my old XFX RX590 Fatboy. And I have had it in the system for 24 hours now.

 

What was your graphic score on timespy? It was cut off in pic. Pci3 likely not choking the vid card. Your cpu will though.
