It's actually surprising that ASUS bothered to add it to such a "low-end" board as the X870-F, seeing how incredibly limited the performance benefits from eCLK are.

 

Isn't the 9800X3D basically locked to 5450mhz without BCLK/ECLK?
Ofc gains ain't much, but seen ppl run 5750mhz with eclk, which would help some? Or at least make it a bit more fun to OC ^^

Or would a better memspeed-oriented board be a better solution to go with the 9800X3D?

 

I bought the "cheapest" MB for 9800x3d just for fun. Asrock b650-hdv m.2. Running 8000c34, so pretty close to the 700$ MB out there in performance. Performance per $ on this MB is pretty good 😅

My oppinion: buy the BEST (Gene) , or the cheapest 😎🤟

 

 

Some of the lower-end ASUS boards do not actually have eCLK even when they claim they do. The table is not correct in this regard.

 

Both x870e Taichi and x870e Taichi lite from ASRock has it (I have a Taichi). CPU only with PCIE=100.

 

Gigabyte Master has it too right?

 

I think the cheapest mobo with ECLK is the ASRock B650E Taichi Lite.

 

Anyone know of any white motherboards that support ECLK ?

 

The new Aorus X870 Tachyon Ice if they ever release it to the public...

Or X670E Taichi Carrara? It should have eCLK. It's massively overpriced but it is mainly white..
