This is the board I am mainly interested in. I just need to know if two m.2 ssds can be run in the first two m.2 slots without reducing the speeds of the x16 slots or if you can only run one m.2 ssd from the cpu and keep everything at full speed.

Yes, you can use the first 2 m.2 slots without affecting speed of anything else. If you use the third one, PCIe slots speeds are affected. Check the manual, "Connectors with shared bandwidth".

I used 4x M2 and yes the speed from x16 is now x8 but it's not really a big problem. In game, your lost 2-3fps. The Board is very good and good alternate to the Hero.

Yes. A new Beta BIOS is out and fixed the too high CPU SOC when using RAM with 6000 Mhz.
The Strix is for this Board.

Yes it's over the Carbon and ram i think working with latest test bios. 6400 is high for Ryzen 7000. Better is 6000 ram.

6400 will be hard on any 670 board AFAIK, it may be solved with a later AGESA, pretty easy to run tighter timings though

6400 brings no advantage over 6000 and that was clear from the beginning. Use 6000 ram and all is good.

Great, I thought 0805 was a beta until late last night when I noticed it was released on other boards as official but not the E-Gaming one, glad it is now. Saw a post somewhere about it fixing the internet issue, hopefully that is correct, I had the issue on 0705 but not 0514 that came with the board.

How does everyone update the bios? As a carry over from my last gigabyte board I did it the same way on my Strix and it worked, that is usually the ez flash in the bios rather than renaming stuff and doing it with the PC off. Is any one way more preferable than another?

Updating from within the existing BIOS is OK.

I only use Q-Flash when I need to upgrade to an unsupported CPU or in a catastrophic event.

I still seem to have internet issues on 0805 but I am not sure if bios related or not. I have internet hard wired but when I turn wifi off I lose internet connection. If I go to settings it says ethernet is not connected but then it also gives me the option to disable it, which makes me think it is connected. Not sure what to do here, any tips?

I have similar ram to you, [KF556C40BBAK2-32] Kingston BEAST Fury 5600Mhz 32GB and i keep getting mem errors, it was hard to get into bios, finally after removing the battery from the motherboard and putting it back in i was able to boot, but i got a lot of blue screens in windows. Could you tell me what the best settings are in bios, i'm new at it and i don't find how to up the voltage on the memory, which i believe is a good thing to do ?

Internet issues ... that could be an Intel / Windows problem but the memory @ EXPO settings is really bad not to work.

The memory @ EXPO not working could be due to a really bad CPU sample with a "trash" IMC.

Asus X670e look good bad with this kind of problems I still did not pulled the trigger on one yet.

New update: With offset voltage + 0.0300 in the cpu now the ram is stable with 6000 mhz (so i think that it could be weak IMC like jvidia told)

A question for fellow strix x670e e-gaming mobo owners, there are two Addressable Gen 2 headers on the bottom left of the board and when inplug in a cable into one the connector does not actually click into place, I have tried both of the headers and same thing. Whenever I wiggle that cable it ends up partially coming off the header. Is this connector meant to be pushed firmly into place so it clicks or bites and can't wriggle off? I am too worried that if I try and push it on too hard that I will break the pins for it on the mobo.

What surprises me is that some options I was familiar with my former Asus rig Crosshair VIII hero (X570) are not here.

Example : SMT option.
It is not visible in bios for me under « CPU configuration » menu.

Is it the same for you
We can’t disable SMT on this motherboard ??

Yes, it's there. I don't recall off of the top of my head what it's called at this moment, but I've passed by it many, many times.

It's in the advanced section of the bios. I know it may be annoying, but just go through the menus and read the tool tip. It will help you identify the option in case it was named something else that you're not anticipating
