i flashed a wrong bios into my RTX 2070, now it's bricked.
I have a RTX 2070 VENTUS GP, and i flashed a VENTUS bios with a little higher power limit, because mine was max 100% power limit.
Then it flashed, and black screen.

Only with a paperclip trick i was able to boot with the GPU installed. Found out later it would boot up with GPU installed

I can even install Nvidia drivers. But when i try to flash my old bios back into it, it keep saying
No Nvidia adapters found...

Slight hijack, but how is it possible to brick a GPU by flashing a VBIOS to it?

Plenty of reasons. Bios doesnt suppor the memory chips, power control isnt giving enough voltage to components, maybe it checks the wrong setup for power plugs and deems nothing is plugged in. Plenty of reasons the wrong bios makes things a nightmare

I‘ve got one of those from my DTR laptop days and a SOIC8 clip. I haven’t used it in so long though. Fortunately my current GPU has 3 bios and a switch. But the day will come when it’s obsolete. And chances are I’ll be back to a single bios GPU. 😒

You need a CH341A with a 1.8V adapter, although I managed to flash cards with straight 3.3V, it's risky though.
Use "driversetup64.exe" driver from the drivers folder.
Use NeoProgrammer.exe as the flashing software, the other one is flaky.
The red stripe on the clamp cable indicates pin 1. Pin 1 on the BIOS chip is marked with a dot.
Open NeoProgrammer, on the left side, click "detect", from the sub menu choose "IS25WP080 1.8V"
Hit "read IC"
Hit "erase IC"
Hit "program IC" -> browse to the BIOS file you want to flash your card to.
If the hex values are all "FF" and "00" you need to reflash until it looks like below attached. This is my RTX2080, by the way.

I managed to got it back to life again! Thank you very much for your help guys!
Without you i would be lost

It was not easy, because i had no space to put on the clip.
So i decided to burn off some plastic from the clip 😱🔥
Then i had a hard time to keep the pins aligned with one hand and operating the program with the other hand 🤣
But it's working again! Very happy because it saves me a lot of money
Thanks again friends 👍😻
