Hi,

Have the h115i Capellix with a loud pump. The noise is pretty annoying, and I see on the web, there are many others who have the same issue, pump whine. Pump does not go below 2300 RPM.

I want to replace this AIO ASAP, with return window still open. Need some help in getting a replacement 280mm AIO.

Choices I'm considering (please no pump whine or noise) :

NZXT X63 or Z63

Rad too thick: Arctic Freezer II 280mm - clearance is already an issue, so I think this AIO is out of the question. Want to keep it as top mount.

Hey Technodox, random question: Have you tried the iCue settings tweak described by Aurigum and FireWarner over on the Corsair forum's thread? If it works for you it'll drop the pump down below 2000rpm and dramatically reduce the noise. Still talk of Corsair fixing this permanently with a firmware update but if editing the configuration .xml gets you where you want to be, it might be worth a try:

For what it's worth, although probably not what you want to hear, I've got an earlier H115i Platinum here and it's great. Optimal pump speed for both cooling performance and noise is its quiet profile - which is around 1850rpm. What the hell happened with these newer pump revisions is a very interesting question.:(

Hi,

I have the Corsair 5000d Airflow case. Front mounted Arctic could work.

I just saw that post from FireWarner, and set balanced mode to 50%. It helps alot. However, I can still hear it, and its a piercing sound. With it at a lower RPM, the pump sounds like its grinding a little.

I'm going NZXT, since it sounds like the easiest way to get a LGA 1700 kit. I think there may be more issues with getting the Arctic kit.
