Welcome to my first ever water cooling build. I've always wanted to build the smallest water cooled rig possible in a windowed case.
My first thought was to use the EVGA Hadron air a while back but when Lian-Li released the PC-Q10, I immediately fell in love with it.
The aluminum case and large window to show off the components was perfect. My goal was to put in 2 (yes 2!) 120 rads inside the case.
I had the idea that it might fit when I saw how short the reference 970's were when an EK water block is installed. With the emergence
of high quality SFX PSU's, I could definitely place a bottom radiator in push pull configuration beside the graphics card.

  • 25-May-2016 - Installed the CPU, chipset and RAM waterblocks. VRM heatsinks painted

  • 26-May-2016 - Finished painting EK fans

  • 27-May-2016 - Installed GPU waterblock

The Galax 970 is not listed as compatible in the EK site but I can assure you it is. There is only one tight capacitor that you have to force it in.

In the Samsung 950's below, I placed an aluminum heatsink to prevent thermal throttling using some Sensui thermal tape

  • 28-May-2016 - Installed the bottom radiator in push pull setup. It is a tight fit! I initially bought an EK XE rad but when I test fitted it inside the case, it was just too tall. I have to replace it with a PE instead.

As you can see below, I have to remove the USB and headphone cables. I have to change the orientation of the power button as well and scrape off the part that is preventing the button to stick out of the case.

Here is the front of the case without the USB and headphone inputs. I just placed a PCI-E bracket in there to cover it up.

  • 4-June-2016 - Installed the fan on the top radiator. I would've painted this but it is completely sealed. I guess all slim fans are sealed that way.

Almost done! Finished installing the tubings for the top radiator

    Water cooling loop completed!

Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply, Corsair and Silverstone have those brackets available. You can buy unbranded ones from ebay as well...
