C drive fills up during games

I have Windows 7, and recently I noticed that every time when I play games, the C drive is filling up

For example: today before I played COD I had 20GB free space, after about an hour the game began to feel slow, and after 10 minutes the game crashed, and then I saw in windows that i have 150MB free .. after another 10 minutes it raised to 1.5GB (but the 20GB still didnt come back)

Does anyone know what to do with it?

Thank you

Try Steam Mover, a program that moves programs and games back and forth between drives, so that you can just bring the game you wanna play to your SSD, just when you wanna play it, and afterwards put it back on your HDD or other SSD(s) to save space.

Another good way to save space is to move your My Documents folder to another drive, as explained here.

The page file is probably increasing in size dynamically, try setting it to a constant 2 GB (that way, it on't suddenly start using more space).

Check the appdata folder (C:\Users\*username*\.appdata). It's hidden so you'll have to change explorer to show you hidden files.

I know that Dirt2 and Dirt3 always use 2GB for replays. I have to manually delete them after playing. Perhaps cod does a similar thing.

Edit: Alternatively just use TreeSize Free to scan your C:\ drive.

Treesize is really good, also try using CCleaner. Does Treesize show any single folders >20GB that shouldn't be?

How big is your C drive anyway? So basically you've lost 20GB of space after playing COD right? Very strange, maybe try re-installing it? Sounds like something's not working quite right. It may be a registry problem, try using CCleaner to clear those up (and also delete a load of TEMP files, maybe get that space back).

problem sovled.. i have a file in C that called "fraglist.luar". i didnt suspect it because i thougth it belonges to windows and it only 1KB
today i entered it and saw list of captured videos from COD. i dont know why it did it but i discovered that this thing belonges to UltraDefrag.
i deleted all the videos and uninstalled that software, and now i have 58GB free space
