Dedicated PhysX card for the games that can use it? other then that nothing i can really think of to boost performance, you'll prob get a few people suggesting that you fold with it though.

So how much of a benefit would I get in using it for PhysX? What would I do to dedicate that card for PhysX?

Will it take some stress off of my 670 in game? Or would it be a negligible difference?

Also would I need to use my SLI bridge for that?

Don't do phsx. It probably won't help you. Might even hurt your performance. I would link you a vid that proves it, but I am on my android. I can do it for you tomorrow though. Your 670 will be enough to do phsx and 3D.

Edit. Of course all situations are different, so you might need to do some of your own testing to be sure.

Yeah, I suggest selling it while it's still worth something. The 670 will pretty much handle anything in the GPU department, and the 670 has its own integrated PhysX chip that shouldn't hurt the overall performance of the video card when active.

nVidia cards don't have a separate PhysX chip. It runs on the GPU itself.

Should I get a new HDD? The one I have currently is 5900 RPM. The one I'm looking at is 7200 RPMs.

Or I could get 8 extra gigs of ram.

I've looked at SSDs but I just can't justify buying one

 

the hdd is just a minor loading/response time.. not that much noticable

lol trust me, if I had to cash to get a second 670 I would, but seeing as how I just got this one last week, I SERIOUSLY doubt my wife would go for that

 

you could get a bit lucky and depending on where you sell it, get ~$125 for the 560ti. that and just a few more bucks will get you a nice enough ~128gig SSD.

Well obviously, if he wants to put out more money. I'm not 100% sure what a used 560 goes for these days but I was making suggestions based on estimated resale value.

If you or anyone has actual benchmarks to back up that "up to 30%" claim, I'd really like to see them.

Obviously but I doubt someone wants to trade a 670 for a 560.
