Greetings, i came to this forum because even reading online guides and all the stuff i can't make these sticks even remotely stable, and i need a little help, testing is not a problem is just, i really don't know what parameter i need to "change" to make it stable (DOCP is unstable as hell)

I'm using a Ryzen 7 2700X on a Asus Rog Strix X470-F Gaming

any help is greatly appreciated

Hello Dark Wolf,
I checked the memory QVL (Qualified Vendors List) that ASUS put out for your motherboard and I noticed that the only RAM kits that they could get to work at 3200+MHz were 2x8GB kits. That could explain why you’re having issues with your DOCP. Is DOCP not working with either profile 1 or 2? Does the RAM kit boot at default speeds? If it doesn’t boot at default speeds I would reinstall the RAM sticks in the owners’ manual recommended slots, you should hear a click from both top and bottom of the stick when inserted. The slots will be color coded.

If the sticks are confirmed to be stable at default speeds and not defective, we can begin overclocking or underclocking in your case. Turn off fast boot. Go to DigiVRM+ and set Load Line Calibration to Level 3. Leave that menu. Set RAM speed to 3200Mhz. Set RAM voltage to 1.35V. Set SOC voltage to 1.05V. IMPORTANT, that is 1.05V for the SOC. In DRAM Timings, set CAS latency to 18 and I believe the next 3 settings underneath CAS should already be 18. Save settings and attempt to boot here. If you boot, run stability test. If still unstable, I’d recommend increasing RAM voltage by .01 then booting and testing up to a RAM voltage of 1.40V. If that fails you can increase the RAS ACT Timing to 38, boot then test. If that fails I’d recommend lowering RAM speed to the setting just slower than 3200MHZ, boot then test. If it’s still unstable keep lowering speed until you hit 2933MHz.

they only have one profile and.. well it boots at default, in one of my checks memtest86 showed no errors at 2133, but in 3200.. checked with tm5 1usmusv3 and always give me error 6/2/4 or 1.. and its safe to increase voltage? i tried 18/22/22/22/42 and nothing but i didnt touch the voltage because its rev 4.32 and i read that means they're c-die

You're using a pretty old Ryzen. I wouldn't expect too much out of its IMC.

Those errors are generally not enough VDIMM.

Nobody really knows with the crappier dies. You just gotta take risks sometimes.

I'd personally suggest going back to 3,000 MHz instead.

Well sorry i took my time to post news but i have been away from home until yesterday so i couldn't try things, but i have to asume i made a mistake and even when i put in bios VSoC 1.05v the actual current was like.. 1,033v, when i saw that yesterday i played with the LLC and voilá, 1,05v with no droop. Then i tested again the config that Damage Inc posted.

and the results were good, actually increased the Extreme1 test from 3 to 6 cycles and the three test were ok!

I call it then a Stable config? or i have to touch anything?

idk whay i can't edit again the last post but extreme was ok. It took me more time than i wanted because i'm idiot and thought that the program crashed and opened it like 3 or 4 times... I left it overnight and was ok, so i will try again with your config but i think i can't change tREFI, but i will post the results of that change

Edit 1: I already tested with 1usmusv3 and OCCT, both showed no errors and.. i don't see any tREFI option on my bios.. i will try anta Extreme

Edit 2: Tested with Extreme, error 0 at 3h of the test

well i tried using the spreadsheet of 1usmusv3 error detection on Extreme1@anta777 to see if i can pass it's 3 cycles and change tRC from 56 to 60 and.. voilá, passed, i will check with OCCT and 1usmusv3 to make sure but i think if a tighter tRC passed the other 2, a more relaxed one has to pass too

Edit 1: OCCT Shows no Errors

Edit 2: That's why i'm crazy with this thing, it can pass 1usmusv3 on tRC 56 but NO tRC60 and Extreme can't pass tRC56 but can pass tRC60.. for things like that what i have to change to make it stable?
