If I can choose btw this 2, which one would you go for?

(10900K Maximus Xii Hero build on RTX 3090 Tuf Gaming OC)

The HXi is not worth buying when you can get the RMi and RMx which is an improved version of the same platform and it cost less
The Seasonic Prime Ultra is far superior

RMi is a cheaper version of the HXi, not an improved ones. The performance are really comparable but one is 80+ GOLD and the other is 80+ Titanium

The AX1000 is a rebrand of the Seasonic Prime Ultra TX and might or might not be cheaper so if you want Corsair at least pick something better
The non i HX is also better than the HXi

16awg vs 18awg

go with corsair.
their rma and cs is better also
The HXi has far worse ripple suppression compared to the Seasonic Prime and even the Focus and even most of Corsair´s own lineup
So no he should not buy a HXi buy the non i HX the RMi the RMx the AX or even the AXi if Corsair is a must no reason to buy one of the worst series they sell

The HXi deserves a WYSNB thread but all the raging fanboys and salty owners is going to ruin such a thread which is why i never bothered

Why would you buy the Prime Ultra Platinum (2017-2018 model) instead of the Prime PX-1000 (2019-2020 model)?
The Prime Ultra Platinum has transient issues on high wattage video cards.
The Prime PX-1000 doesn't. I have a PX-1000.
