What you are experiencing is over scan. Without knowing your exact TV model, or even having any experience with your TV I can't tell you much how to fix it. There is usually a setting in the TV settings to adjust for over scan. Some TV's require the "game" mode to be set, or only allow it on certain ports on the TV. Wish I could be of more help, but there isn't anything wrong with your stuff, it is just a setting that needs to be made.

could be as simple as changing from "stretch" or "zoom" to "normal" on your tv's menu for picture size or aspect-ratio

Looking through the manual I found for this online I am not seeing a setting for adjusting over scan or anything of the sorts. A quick Google search of the model number and over scan leads me to believe that only HDMI 1 will allow for the adjustment of over scan, but didn't allude as to how to adjust for it.

 

So im screwed?

 

On all of my Tv's in the house the Remote has the option for adjusting "Zoom" "Stretch" or "Normal". It's not in the menu options. Even my cheap Sceptre Tv from Walmart has an "aspect" button on the remote that changes this.

 

Is there a button in your remote controller to adjust the over scan? I had the same issue with my TV a while ago and I adjusted it through the remote controller, but I forgot the name of the button.

 

Can be as simple as finding a "picture size" button on remote. Can be called P. size, zoom, or something else.

Yep, i think that's the same name of the button I was referring to that fixed my TV.
