Frostbite, Levolution, Commander Mode, and All Out War aren't the only things that make Battlefield 4 the first truly next-gen experience. Battlelog is evolving on the web, mobile devices, and connecting Battlefield players in entirely new ways.

With Battlefield, 4 your mobile device and tablet become a window into your game. Get a tactical view of the battlefield, highlight attack points on the mini map, and track your squad mates, all from your device or computer. The improved Battlelog will also allow you to more fluidly control your play sessions. Change your weapons and load outs in real time or select your next match and server without leaving your game. Want to check on your progression while you're playing? You don't have to pause or leave - just reach for your mobile.

We're also evolving the way that you compare and compete. Want to know who among your friends is the best tank destroyer or who can capture the most bases? With the new Missions feature you'll be able to create custom challenges for your friends. A completed mission or improvement on a current record will notify your friends, letting them know it's time to log on and try to take back their title!

Geo-localized leaderboards will allow players to focus on the area that means the most to them. Compare statistics on the city, country, continental, and global levels. Make new friends and rivals with people near and far as you compete on the scale that you choose.

These improvements are just part of how we're making Battlefield 4 the best Battlefield ever.

^This. I haven't been all that impressed with battlelog, I'd prefer they go back to the ingame browser like we had in BC2.

Adapt, it's been 2 years already. And BC2 in-game server sucked.
DICE has never made a fully functioning UI.

the reason why is better web based is because u can go and see stats everywhere u have access to the internet... if u want it ingame system... u cant run the game on your cellphone or in your job...

with battlelog u can check friend status... check a match stats etc.... battlelog in web is 10X better than ingame imo

Next gen consoles enabled them to do this blah blah blah....I call some BS.

Everything here was already achievable with BF3 they just chose not to implement it since only one platform at the time could utilize it, the PC.

They should do like a 10% off or something if you already own BF3....then I would buy it right this second.

For the love of moses - LET US EDIT VIDEO SETTINGS OUTSIDE THE GAME!

And edit video settings or customize weapons when we get downed.

In game is better, why do I want to have chrome and origin running taking up memory and space? I want all my hardware only for one thing at one time. They still are using this battlecrap interface.

With this video and the BF4 multiplayer video with the collapsing building video, we've only seen about 5 seconds of footage showing the Chopper, but boy does it sound good.

There is also a few seconds footage showing a tank round going off in the BF4 commander mode video on youtube, again that sounds incredible.

If nothing else changes from BF3, a least the sounds have been updated from the looks of things. The tank and choppers sound amazing in these new videos.

Edit: Just watching the video, this tablet/mobile phone integration looks pretty decent actually!

Anyone else notice the weapons on the assault class?

The icons are mostly doubled, i.e scar icon used for the scar and the FAMAS.

I think it would be pretty neat to be able to sit on PS4 and have my mobile phone on then just change a weapon class via my phone.

Battlelog has been really bad for me for the past 2 months. Now it does not work with Opera. When i open it with IE sometimes it works sometimes it does not. Complete mess.

Agreed, browsers just seem to bring unnecessary problems. At one stage I couldn't play the game for two months because battlelog would just not function in any browser I tried and the only way it works now is to use Google chrome in incognito mode, which is annoying because I don't use chrome as my default browser.

Or you know, you could just integrate it into the main client while having all this battlelog and mobile functionality as optional.

Oh wait, but then the playerbase won't be forced to use it....

I don't know about you but I find all this out-of-game experience to be a gimmick, I'm sure many people have better things to do than check battlelog while on the job. This really is sounding like the facebook for battlefield.

If you ever tried running BF3 at launch on 4GB of slow RAM like many people did you would not think it funny when you realized that you would need an extra dimm just to get rid of the stuttering.
