They built a computer with all EVGA everything. They were highlighting how awesome EVGA was to consumers and how they had really long warranty periods and excellent customer service, but NVIDIA made their margins so small they weren't able to offer their level of service while still being profitable enough to continue doing business.
He also said the Dark would work with 14th gen cpus which is only kind of true.
I loved my 790 and 690 dark the quality of the boards is beyond anything else on the market but even on the latest bios versions there was something funky going on with the LLC or PLL voltages.
My 690 and 790 would blast 430W during a cinebench run to a 13900K or KS cpu whilst the same cpus in msi or asus boards would be pulling 320-280W producing the same scores at the the same voltages. Playing around with the LLC on the boards only killed the stability for me. Setting manual voltages still saw a much higher power draw compared to any other boards I used.
Lastly the fact they never implemented OCTVB because they said it would interfere with OC robot was sad. The bios team told me in a PM they would consider releasing modified bios with OCTVB upon request but the team got nuked before it happened. Its a shame what happened to EVGA their products were fantastic the X299 Dark was my favorite board of all time truly a masterpiece by Kingpin and TiN
