Seems like Doom is on anything with a screen these days. As proof here’s a video of the game running on Texas Instrument’s TI-Nspire calculator!

$180 bucks for a grade 9 calculator...)

Now I can say the purchase was justified!... ok maybe not

This thread reminds me of my horrible High School. This kid in my High School stole hundreds of those calculators from students last year, me being one of them. He sold them on eBay, and eventually got caught by the school. They wanted me to pay full price for the stolen calculator, but I refused.

They said I couldn't graduate so I took them to court. Great success!

Ya I was looking at those graphing calculators, and I used one in school. What could possibly be in there that would make it cost that much though. They must be making a 9000% profit on it.

I personally didn't even use any special features of the calculator when I was in High School, neither did the rest of the class.

I was in basic Algebra and then onto Geometry, but other than that the special functions of that calculator were never used, heh.

i bought a graphing calculator for pre-calc in high school. i used the graphing function maybe 5 times for useless things in that class. then i got through calc 1 calc 2 and calc 3 in college and never needed to do anything that a scientific calculator couldnt do.

so the only way to get your money's worth out of these stupid devices is to put games on them.

It's not over 9000!
