And aesthetic compromise, i've found this
https://www.taocomputer.eu/shop2007/scheda.asp?id=35828

Im not expert in airflow, but i guess the rear fan is exhaust... so, any better cases in 100€ range? Otherwhise, how can i maximize its airflow? (I will hard ovc

)
I guess i have to buy x2 front intake fan to start with... then?

Also found this

Which i personally find really eye-candy it has x3 front fan but the intakes are on sides... could work? I guess no place here for noctua or any AIO from any brand...

That second case is pretty cool. Have you seen the core P3 or P5, that is a really cool case. Looks pretty good with the noctua as well.

I have not used a Thermaltake case in many years, but I have used several Phanteks cases. Phanteks cases are very nice! Thermalfake are not near as well built.

Enthoo Pro M comes with 2x fans, and if you use both of them as front intakes you should have plenty of airflow.

NH-D15 is a great cooler, but it is usually more expensive than other cooler just as good. If you do not already have it you might consider buying something else like Cryorig R1, Phanteks PH-TC14PE, Thermalright TRUE Spirit 140 Power, Le Grand Macho, Silver Arrow IB-E, etc.

Here's my nh-d15 in a phanteks enthoo pro m. Airflow is fantastic in this case. Noctua is worth a small premium for the fan clips + amazing mounting solution over other air coolers IMO.

Sorry, but what makes Noctua fan clips any better than Phantek fan clips or Cryorig fan clips? I've used all of these and many more. All three of these clips work basically the same and are not a problem to use, not at all. Same goes for their cooler mounts.

I was more talking about the thermalright coolers. No experience with the phanteks or cryorig.

We need to be careful about lumping all 'cooler fan clips' other than Noctua into a single bag. I agree, Thermalright fan clips are tricky. I've found practicing the fan install on cooler before installing it to motherboard and into case makes it much easier to figure out what will work and what won't.

With Thermalright fan clips I found the clip always has to be installed onto cooler before cooler is installed to motherboard!
Then I put clip on one side of fan and hold it on fan as I slide fan to center of cooelr. Now as long as I hold the fan so it does not move toward installed fan clip the clip stays clipped onto fan. Then simply clip the other fan clip onto fan .. job done.

It really is just that easy to do, but a little practice on cooler before it's installed into case makes all the difference is getting the job done without lots of cursing and sometimes bloody fingers.

Guys, i think i've made my decision with the case http://www.phanteks.com/Enthoo-Pro-M-TemperedGlass.html im looking for this one in italy for around 100€
Can you suggest good fans for it? It has room for x3 12cm and x2 14cm fans. Noctua are damn expensive x1 fan = 20€ LOL
My only concern is that some reviewers say it does not have front panel dust filter on those small holes you see on sides... can you confirm or say the opposite? Can i fix that? Otherwhise, any case around the same price point who offers the same airflow + tempered glass panel?

The 2 fans that come in the Phanteks Pro M should be enough. They are good enough that rear exhaust fan is not needed Just move the back fan to front intake and you should be fine.

They put a mesh similar to what is on the top of the case over those side slots now. Not much dust will get through them. A bigger source would be the bottom where you grab the front panel to pull it off. I put a piece of open cell foam from an old case there. This isn't a dust free case though, but the dust buildup does seem minimal.

Last year i was in the same situation as you are today.. At the time i was trying to find a good case that could fit my brand new NH-D15.. Let's be honest here.. This cooler, as goog as it is, is just huge..
smile.gif

When i bought this cooler i didn´t take into account it's size, so trying to fit it into my case was... Impossible.. At the time i was using a Corsair Carbide 100R... Little budget case, i know...

Anyway, i had already in my plans to buy a new case.. And for a long time i looked at the Enthoo Pro M.. It looked really nice, and i knew i could easily fit my Nh-D15 without problems whatsoever...
But in a last minute decision, i ditched this idea and instead i went with the Cooler Master HAF Xb Evo... This happened for four reasons.. First, i really enjoy the looks of this case (i understand this is my personal taste and not everyone might think the same), second, as you might have noticed, this cpu cooler is not just huge, it's also somewhat heavy, and after reading some stories about damaged cpu's due to heavy cooler's, i was affraid that the Nh-D15 coud somehow damage my cpu or motherboard... Third, my gpu (R9 390) is also heavy.. And it was starting to bend as you can see in the picture below.. Fourth and final reason is.. Everyone and their mother have a vertical case, i wanted something different...
tongue.gif

So, The Cooler Master HAF Xb Evo it was... Well, i'm quite happy with this case to be honest... The case is large enough to fit the Nh-D15, it has good ventilation. It can be used as a regular case or as a test bench if you decide to remove all the side panels, and the construction quality is really good, nothing like those flimsy side panels you find in cheaper cases, every panel is this case is of best quality... However, this case has a huge drawback when compared to a traditional vertical case... Building in this case can be a pain in the ass... I'll explain.. This case is divided in 2 compartiments.. The upper compartiment is where the motherboard and other main components go.. However, the lower compartiment is where you must put the psu, ssd's, hdd,s etc... A good advice here to avoid headaches, you should mount everything in the lower compartiment before you do all the rest...

Anyway, after the initial struggle, i finaly had my build complete, and boy, does it look gorgeous... I don't regret buying this case one bit.. Oh, by the way, i'm also using two Noctua NF-A14 as intake fan's.. They do a very good job but i keep them at low rpm's as they can be a bit loud sometimes...

Ok.. Here are some pictures.. Enjoy... And good luck with your build..

I've built and used both Phanteks and Fractal Design and honestly think both are very good, but Phanteks stock fans are significantly better than Fractal Design. The Fractal Design fans have about half the static pressure rating Phanteks fans have. GP-14 0.71mmH2O, 68.4cfm vs PH-F140SP 1.33mmH2O, 82.1cfm makes a huge difference in airflow when airflow is being pulled through front grill and air fliter.

Not that I believe static pressure is a meaningful specification .. nor do I believe cfm is a meaningful reading, but they are all we usually have to work with.
  • Static pressure rating is how high the fan's pressure has pushed water up a manometer tube when it stops flowing air
  • cfm is how much airflow the fan moves when the pressure is the same on both sides of fan
More detailed explanation of fan airflow and P/Q curve (pressure vs flow) is best way to show fan airflow in link below

Good choice.. I'm sure it will serve you well.. The reviews are very positive.. Besides, it's a beautiful case..
smile.gif

What version of Nh-d15 did you get? The regular one or the Nh-D15S?

About the RX Vega.. Please wait for some benchmarks before you jump in.. I'm hoping that it's going to be a good gpu, but the frontier edition is a little bit disappointing so far.. Even though it's not a gaming gpu so to speak.. I really hope the gaming version doesn't disappoint as well..

Regular DH15... any difference with S?
Rx vega competes with 1080, check new benchmarks

EDIT:i think i have the normal one, with 2 Fans.

I saw this btw

Does it work better? Enthoo should have plenty of room for that, would it affect rams? (I have heatsink ram btw)
