Is your system Intel-based or AMD-Based?

Intels like Higher Frequencies better than Low Latency
AMDs work the opposite way

Post your System Info so we can get a better understanding of your rig

Intel chips like higher frequencies better.

That being said, what are you plugging the RAM into? To get 2133mHz on say a Bloomfield 1366/X58 setup you'll need a STUPID high QPI/DRAM voltage that you'll not want to run 24/7 if you value your hardware. 1.4-1.5V+ thereabouts

I run my 2133 RAM at 1866 for the lower voltage.

You should be better with high frequencies, Check the voltage though

the thing is ram doesnt really improve much of ur performance as long as u have 1600mhz. So imo if u r on a budget find something cheap and if not find something that look nice

If your ocing your chip to its max, get some better mem. If your doing light ocing, any mem would do since the gain is negligible and really seen in benchies.

Best mem for the price is the G.Skill PIE ( 7-8-7-24- 1T( default is 2T but I run it at 1T) If you don't know what the T is, the same thing as taking that first 7 and turning it into a 6. So effectively I run mine at 6-8-7-24.

This. With DDR3 especially go with tighter timings if you have an amd system.
