HO HO HO without PBO? (7000 Series questions)

Tis the Season where I hunker down in my igloo and play with pc parts. I have a 7700X on order so I have some questions.

At stock out of the box are AM5 chips set to boost all core or single core in the BIOS?

Utilizing PBO which cranks up the heat and voltage in my AM4 rig I'm curious if there is a way with AM5 to boost on its own past the stock 5.4Ghz boost without forcing a static allcore overclock or a Fmax boost override of +100-+200 MHz? Is there a bit more of an "organic" way of just letting the chip just do it's thing until it hits a certain temp?

Curve optimizer which I found annoying to tweak with AM4 I guess might be an option if I have to but..... But my rig is for 90% gaming and I think this benefits multicore applications more so than games.

After watching skatterbencher it seems like there are many ways of OCing these chips and I'm looking for a lighter method than PBO.

Thanks,

Well in my limited time playing around on AM5 I found that I could either set the +200MHz PBO override and run hot, OR leave PBO on auto with -30 Curve optimizer AND set temperature limit to 70C and things can boost very well and stay cool.

So for benching I do the former, and for work usage I use the latter method.

I'm still learning AM5 though. Only had it for about a week or so

I have a 7700x and run it just stock for now with EXPO on running G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series DDR5 6000 30-38-38-96, mine will boost to 5500 out of the box on Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX, it's more about the power stages on your board as all are not equal, and a good AIO watercooler at which I been trying a 240mm setup and it works better than air cooling at boost.

you can see it hit 5500mhz in this video
