The desktop of my HTPC looks too plain... so I want to change how it looks.

What do you widget/gadgets do you guys use for your HTPCs if you use any? Also what's a good website to download some nice customized icons?

Not really sure what you mean...

If you need to make the icons larger, and you're running windows 7, I know you can right clock on the desktop, go to the view sub-menu, and select "Large Icons" To make the icons easier to read. You can also change the cursor size by selecting it in the Mouse menu from the Control Panel and going to the "Pointers" tab. They have some nice large ones there.

Not sure if there is anything else you need, but let me know if you do.

I should have been more specific I'll change the OP.

But I know how to do all that what I actually want to do is make the apperance of my desktop look better than the plain default by using customized icons. I remember about one program that would make icons like the MAC's OS icon Dock, but I can't find it anymore. Also I've seen some people with some nice 3D looking icons.

Also what are some good gadgets/widgets to use for a HTPC.

Rocketdock would give you that Mac OSX scrolling pop-up dock that you mentioned! (Currently the site is down I guess, try it again in a while orrr..... alternate mirror!

Edit:
There is also a program called CubeDesktop That is kinda cool. BumpTop is also an interesting program vary similar to CubeDesktop but it was acquired by Google in 2010 so there isn't an official site or download. If you can find a place to download that, it's a really cool program. If I had a copy I would send it to you, but sadly I don't.
