Check your sound cards control panel, perhaps you have a sound effect activated under EAX ("Cavern", "Cave", "Bathroom" ...etc..). Also take a look at your Bass settings...
Yea, sure man! I use Nero Soundtrax to remove what you metioned, as well as pretty much anything else that you want to do. Here is the manual in PDF format: (Link) http://www.uwm.edu/IMT/Info/nero/nerosoundtrax.pdf
Where you get it is up to you........I don't know if there is a free trial version or not......hint hint
The option to remove hissing and crackling, as well as others should be under one of the pulldown menus on the main screen. If you have any ?s PM me: I've used this prog before to clean up streaming audio rips from DJs and other online radio. It can do waaaay more than that, though.
Ummmmm......maybe? I don't know if there are free versions (trial), but I really can't say.......hint hint.......
Here is Nero 7 Premium free trial @ softpedia: http://www.soft32.com/download_125465.html
This has Soundtrax. It will have all that you need.......I am assuming that you want to remove these sounds from a recording, right?
There are many other sound editing software packages.....if you are worried about it installing all of these tools, don't worry becuase you can specify which progs you want with the custom install instead of express. Just install only Nero Soundtrax.
The creative control panal is in the start menu, all programs
