Hello all -

Forgive me if a thread exists for the IN WIN 901 case, I couldn't find it. I just put together a rig based around the 901 and I'm in love.

You're good. Some buttmad moderator locked the original thread instead of splitting the topic into a owners/discussion thread for no apparent reason.

Looking forward to seeing some builds here, this case is a beauty. Also I recommend including the 904 case in the thread as well.

you can definitely fit a hydro cooler inside the case, I used a Corsair H75 and a Noctua full size fan, the only issue I have is that I can't access my network port, so I need to buy a right angle cable or a usb to ethernet adapter. a small sacrifice for the beauty of this case, it was a joy to build in!

Unfinished as I just received the case today, but here is what it looks like:

As a non owner, the 2 things i dislike about this case is
A: it's large, it's not much if any smaller than some mATX cases
B: USB is on the side, not useful if you are facing the front of the case.

EDIT: any more pics of AIO coolers being mounted in side?

What mobo? what washers? any tips for installing it INSIDE the case? how thick is your rad? Is the aio loud?

any body know what all AIOs will fit?

I suppose it is a bit on the larger side for mini itx, but I needed my new case to have at least one decently placed intake and exhaust fan, ability to house a hydro cooler, side window, able to hold a decent non sfx power supply (I wanted it silent) and nice aesthetics. my only other options were the 250d, air 240, node 804 etc, which have a larger footprint - I did look at smaller cases such as the Compact Flash, but they are just too hard to get hold of!

Motherboard: Asus Z97I Plus
AIO: Corsair H75 - not sure how thick it is, but it's one of the slimmer ones, bought it to fit into my Hadron Air initially
Washers: the silver washers and screws came with the case, probably meant for the PSU
Noise: the whole system is almost silent, thanks to the Aerocool fans (replaced the Noctuas, they were horrible)

No tips really, if the radiator fits it will just slide in, if possible get a network cable that is flat or bendy as you're going to have to squash that in with a bit of your radiator

Build is nearly done:

photos don't really do it justice (especially phone photos, sorry) it's strange looking at lit components through smoked glass when the PC is on!

Well i noted for a regular use such as non gaming ITX has all the amenities especially in this case. They could have made it smaller by making the PSU SFX ...well maybe not if it fit 3.5" HDDs those are the same with as an ATX PSU. also the 120mm AIO mounting wouldn't happen either. thos with SFX being not as tall maybe it could have fit an mATX board.

EDIT: Does the H75 not have a WHITE LED?

Well i can look forward that too, so far i have typical intel/asus (z97 plus) / kingston build going, and similar build on the AMD side but, with a gigabyte boards since asus does not have an itx FM2+ mobo.

changed my fans as those noctua 3000rpm ones were awful! added in a backplate, next up is to find a way to cover up the gold Asus badge.

no LEDs on the H75 unfortunately, it kinda looks like it though because I used small white individual LEDS to dimly light the inside of the case, as I didn't want to see the entire strip through the window. I just ran the wire along the back of my hydro cooler tubes to highlight the ssd etc, like this:

I managed to squash a regular network cable in without it interfering with the fan

it's yellow and sticks out like a sore thumb, but the effort of replacing it is too much for the time being!

I was thinking about leaving my back panel off of the case to allow easier access to the I/O ports. Mine has been off for awhile, and I put it back on last night to compare the look. I had to tug a bit, just a bit, on the top of the outer aluminum shell to get the panel to fit in. I'm sure that area is the weak point of the case.

Now I'm thinking leaving it off is not a good idea. Maybe it needs the support of the rear panel.

Anyone else have any fit problems of the rear panel? When I took it off it came off real easy, and it needed just a slight pull to get it back in place.

Hi guys,

I'm currently using a Node 304 from Fractal Design which I really like but I feel like a change. At first I was looking at the mainstream ITX cases (Corsair 250D, 380T, Bitfenix Prodigy [which I already had in the past], etc.) and came across this one. I instantly fall in love with the beautiful design, which totally offsets its huge size for ITX builds and cooling restrictions IMO.

The problem is that I'm very picky when it comes to noise and I will have to replace my current Thermalright True Spirit 140 (170mm high) with some 120mm AIO. I will probably change the fan for a BeQuiet or Noctua one, but I'm concerned about the pump noise. Which one would you recommend?

thanks in advance

no 904 owner's thread?

Do you guys have problem with vibration from HDD in this case? I read in reviews that it has no anti-vibration support for 3.5" HDDs. And what about anti vibration place for 2.5" HDD, is there something dampening vibration this? So I could get 2.5 instead of 3.5.

And what about CPU overclocking? I read that the temperatures aren't so good, could you run an CPU over 4 GHz in there? I am thinking about buying pentium G3258 and overclock it... just to overcome waiting for Broadwell. For cooler I would probably use the Noctua NH-C14 in low profile setup (only with bottom fan)

I am too!

I also want to fit a msi gtx 970 in here (form over function haha

), but I can't find the maximum clearance for GPU width (the msi is 141mm) in the case. Can anyone comment?

Hey guys! Mine is pretty much done, for the most part. I'd really like to get a STRIX 970, but I'm almost positive it won't fit... Just by a few mm's, too, sadly. Maybe I'll get a reference design 970 and paint the text.

All I'm really waiting on is drives. I've got temp ones in for now.

I'd like to one day possibly ugprade my memory capacity too, and CPU to an i7. Just for the e-peen. But for now, I'm quite happy!

Really nice one Sazexa. I have recently ordered this case and I think I am gonna copy you a little since two MBs I am deciding between are also red/black combination ... I

I just hope this case can be somehow tweaked so there is not much vibration from classsic 3.5"/2.5" HDDs that I am afraid of. I see you have none right now.

I will just have to go with bigger CPU cooler cos I wanna oc. Currently thinking of Noctua NH-C12P SE14.

Question for all: Do you need graphic card with blower type cooler for this case? I think of GIGABYTE GTX970 G1 Gaming. I think it is not too wide but it is not blower type. But I like backplate and that LED illumination thing on the side.

Thanks, Xyann!

Red and black always looks good.

My heatsink is a Noctua but I used a low TDP CPU.

I did test the case with actual 3.5" 7,200 RPM drives. And they weren't very loud. They fit quite snugly and have no real wiggle room to virbate with, if you ask me. I'll be adding new ones, soon.

You don't NEED a blower style cooler. But I'd recommend one. Most non-reference coolers are too wide to fit properly, if at all. Don't forget, you need space for those power cables and connectors! If you do infact use a case ventillation type GPU, i'd recommend maybe reversing the standard airflow. As in, have a rear 120mm and use the 92mm spot also for fan intakes. The front 120mm by the I/O and power switch can then be a direct GPU exhaust outlet. And if you have a high temperature tolerance PSU with a good fan, that too can be used to pull and exhaust GPU air.

Hope that helps.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share my recent experience with my graphics card upgrade. I just got myself a Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming. Fits perfectly with a few CM to spare. I kinda like how it makes the case look filled up. So initially, I was worried about the temperatures since this is an open shroud GPU. However, after running Unigine Heaven for 30 minutes, the GPU stabilized at 65C. I know this is the coolest 970 out there but it performs just as reviews stated, 60-65C under load.

And people always judged this case for poor airflow.
