Possible BIOS version misread?

The ultimate value will come after testing both P/E cores and IMC but that V/F curve looks very good!

If this chip pans out to be the banger it looks like from the BIOS screen, it will be a $1500-2k+ monster depending on results or if someone just wants to roll the dice on the SP scores.

$2500 chip. :D

If it pans out to match its SP rating, I would not be surprised at that price either. (y)

Yeah, if that were my chip I would VERIFY that SP score before trying to sell. I would be PISSED if I bought a golden sample for $2k and it was a bad SP reading or something.

Agreed, @SixPath maybe temporarily pick up an Asus Z790 Hero or Apex to re-verify the reading along with an MC reading along with some baseline testing from @Falkentyne to really see what it does.

Looking at Igors Lab's binning data and from what I've seen sell here, I dont think I've ever seen a CPU with an SP score over 130. This isn't a "golden sample", this may be on of the best clocking Raptor Lake CPU ever. A genuine 1 of 1. Post it in Ebay and you might get a bidding war for well over $2k. Then again, with new CPUs around the corner, you might not.

My 13900KS MC SP 83, not the best out there but does ok, running the Gskill 8000 2x16 kit daily at 8400/38 for work apps, happy with that.

Wish my CPU was as good as the OPs, yet above average is thankful enough. :geek:

Would be very careful in regards the reading of the z690-A.

while my z690-a for whatever reason believes it is a sp 123 chip, in truth it is not. 108 on apex.
Usually you can check the fused V/F curve against collected V/F curves and SP scores to at least know you're in the ballpark.

His 1.433v 6.2 V/F point is showing a monster in the making....

Here is an SP112 from over in the 14th gen forum and it has an already killer 1.469 6.2ghz vid point:

In the words of @IronAge :

VIDs do not lie, it is a win in silicon lottery for sure.

This SP stuff been out of control, when did this even become a thing?. I’ve run nothing but Apex and Extreme boards for years and never even heard of this until months back when it seemed to be a big deal on this forum. Like mentioned earlier I would focus on superior cooling👍

It can potentially make some ratios easier to run and/or reach under water while it is not even with serious water cooling on other chips. But again, subject to testing as not every chip proportionally scale the same.

Extreme cooling is a different story as the highest sp's don't necessary allows the extra edge to break a wr.

Assuming the chip scales the same compared to the other chips I used, such chip could potentially run with -30mv. That pretty much means 62x close to 1.32v and 63x sub 1.40v. But again that is just the theory.

No utdates means it's sold to Dubai?

Sarebbe opportuno prestare molta attenzione alla lettura dello z690-A.

mentre il mio z690-a per qualche ragione crede di essere un chip sp 123, in verità non lo è. 108 su apex.

this is a fake! it's not a 14900kf as you told us.. it will be an i3 or i5...
today I tried an i3 12100 out of curiosity and it gave me an SP 143!!!!
I think the SP value is correct only for "K/KF/KS" cpu
I do not have, never had and most likely will never have an i3 or i5 . All my cpus have been i7s or i9s going back to like 2010.

The bogus 123 was from a delided 14900kf purchased from a member of this same forum (Tiduschen88 ) - in fact this one (attached image taken from the apex) .

I do not know why the z690-a d4 provided a 123 reading- that I knew it was wrong since tidus sent me an image before with the correct sp, was just checking the cpu was working given the long travel. and it was , booted fine.

Additionally there were a few scam attempts from some "chinese sellers" trying to sell i7s and i9s with bogus scores around that time and so I did not happen only to me.

And I had updated the bios, around the release of 14th series so it was not due to outdated bios

Grats. Tho in my experience the MC value often changes, sometimes depending on VCCSA voltage others.. not sure... sometimes I think it follows the weather or something.
đź’Ż. I had an MC76 that could run circles around an MC95 that I had.
