465nits is pretty typical for an OLED with a DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certification.

According to TFTCentral's review only the display's HDR Vivid and HDR Game modes allow for the 1000+ nit peak brightness, with the other modes limited to ~480nits. Sounds like you've either got the wrong mode set if you want the display to go brighter, or the EDID info defaults to the standard HDR mode.

 

tried that trick, it didn't work, most likely a bug that needs an update from GB, others reported the same issue

 

My Iiyama 43 incher has an HDR option in the menu. Turn that on, then turn HDR on in Windows as well as Auto HDR. Then use that Windows HDR tuning program from Windows store to create an HDR profile, then use it instead of default .icm profile that came with your monitor drivers.

I have had monitor FO32U2P for 1.5 years now.

At first there were known issues with black screens during games. I sent it to Gigabyte Poland EU for repair via RMA. Received it in a couple of weeks, but when trying to update the firmware from F02 to F06, the monitor started showing only white. Ok, I sent it back via RMA again.

Received it back today after the second repair. And what do I see? They sent me my monitor with a motherboard from a cheaper monitor (FO32U2). Damn. Either these are unqualified repairmen or this is an attempt at fraud. I wrote to them demanding a refund (this is the third warranty repair) and will most likely contact lawyers for court.

I do not recommend Gigabyte and its service, people.

 

I usually update using the web page exe instead of that GCC app they got



F07 still breaks my monitor and locks the resolution to 1440p 120
