LG 27UD68 - does anyone have HDMI 4K 60Hz working?

A while ago I purchased a pair of LG 27UD68 monitors. I'm driving both of them through HDMI cables from RX480 card. For the life of me I can't get them to work properly. I keep getting signal drops where monitor just goes black for a second or two before picture comes back. It happens on both monitors at random times. I have tried numerous HDMI cables including thick 28AWG gauge, the 4K certified cables, even "Active" HDMI cables. I even tried two different RX480 cards, MSI 480 Twin Frozr and Asus Strix. Nothing works. I keep getting weird black outs at random times. It's really annoying because it's completely unpredictable and it happens probably at least dozen times in a day.

I'm just curious, does anyone have LG 27UD68-P (or W) working over HDMI at 4K at 60Hz? And if so what video card are you using, and what cables are you using?

EDIT: here's short youtube video showing the problem.

I see you said you got it to work at 30Hz. Did you ever get HDMI working at 60Hz?

Unfortunately can't use DP because of the dreaded windows multi-monitor resizing application reshuffling bug that's never been resolved.

So if I use DP my windows get resized/moved to my primary monitor after monitors wake up from sleep, and if I use HDMI I get random signal loss. Basically either way I'm screwed.

Ah I see, that stinks. No I have not tried hdmi at all since I last posted, I just use a single monitor w/ DP cable and no other screens connected so I don't have the issues mentioned in those threads.

Yes, I have already enabled "HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color" in the monitor settings to enable 60Hz. That's not the problem. The monitor works at 60 Hz, it's just that I get signal loss for a few seconds every once in a while.

Interesting to note is that the only thing that seems to fix intermittent signal loss is going into advanced windows display adapter property and changing refresh rate on both monitors, 60 to 59 or 59 to 60hz works.

P.S. ordered the fanciest set of bluejeanscables I could find, $20 a pop, it hurt to buy those and it hurts to write it, but if they won't work, I don't know what will.

That happens to me on various TVs and cables, it happened on the last few Samsung 4K TVs I had and my current LG OLED TV.

I think its related to the mini fridge I have, once the fridge compressor kicks in or out sometimes I get these blank screens.

Updating the thread in case someone facing the same problem comes across it.

I never solved my problem with HDMI outputs directly. I think there is a wide spread incompatibility between RX480 and certain 4K displays as evidenced by the thread at https://community.amd.com/thread/205187 where multiple people describe the same problem and I just happened to be one of the "lucky" ones.

In the end the only way to solve my problem was to order two passive DP to HDMI cables. Sadly freesync doesn't work, but at least I don't have to deal with windows rearranging all of my applications onto a single screen when my monitors go to sleep if I use pure DP, and I don't have to deal with my monitors spazzing out if I use pure HDMI.

I know it gets confusing when it comes to cables now. Have you tried a Display port to HDMI yet? Curious if that might do better. I got my first 144hz monitor and thought HDMI would work yet it took a DVI-D cable to get me the 144hz. All the other cables left me with 60hz.

Uhm... if you read my last paragraph, that is exactly what I did. I got a pair of DP to HDMI cables.
