does anyone else have the 7970 edition and realize how poorly placed the main block is? the cooler is the exact same size of the pcb, but is offset an inch from the mobo and 2 inches from the faceplate.

Any tips, how to use that G1 thermal glue? I've read that someone had drying problems when waited over 5hours, even over night. Somebody also said it needs heat, is that true?

Add me in, I have Accelero 7970 mounted to my ATI 4850

I overclocked my card to core/memory 765/1175MHz from default 625/1005MHz.

Max temps with overvoltage 1.158V:
DispIO: 42
MemIO: 62
Shader: 46

My old temps were with normal voltage 1.084V:
DispIO: 78
MemIO: 83
Shader: 78

Pretty impressive for me

Note sure about the heat, but I found that the glue did not bond all that well after 5 hours, but it was fine another 5 or 6 hours after that. If I was installing the cooler again, I would probably wait 24 hours.

Edit - I see you have already installed the cooler. Did you have any problems with the glue?

Well, I just left it for over night and it was all fine

Only downside was that there was too much thermal glue for one apply and you can only apply it once, so there should be 2 mixing bags

I have a question, I love my accelero extreme plus 1, i used it on a gtx470, it was fantastic. Now i bought a gtx660 , this one: http://static.scan.co.uk/images/products/1922506-c.jpg
Since the accelero etreme plus 1 doesn"t fit i"d like to buy accelero extreme plus 2. Oficcialy only the extreme 3 fits a gtx660 but i don"t see a reason for plus 2 version not to fit the card. When i tried fitting plus 1 version the only thing blocking me was a litttle piece of heatpipe that is removed on a plus 2, and plus2 also has a compatibile backplate. So is accelero extreme plus2 compatibile with the gtx660?
