And another one...
Why would it need to access that executable is beyond me.
Additionally, if the service is disabled all Synapse gets disabled.

The only place I have it installed should I need it, is on the laptop. It eats away the CPU endlessly.
Exactly Leech-like activity. It keeps sucking away all the Memory and CPU juice 24/7, until your system collapses 😵 .

If this was a functional blood filled creature, the Synapse Bloatware would kill it off very quickly.

Forget about Covid-19 and all of its variants. If the Razer-Synapse virus, could be enabled to attach to humans, we're finished as a species on this unfortunate planet 💀 .

Only those that have a working vaccine might survive this disaster, or those that refuse to use or install any Razer Bloatware onto themselves  .

It certainly is horrible software. Since I ditched Synapse 3 from the laptop, it was eating up to 3.3 - 3.5GB memory. 4GB in total on the laptop, from 2016. Using up to 18% cpu usage. Since uninstalling it last night the CPU usage is down to 4 - 7% and memory down to 1.5 - 1.8GB.

Most brands have their own software for the product to function correctly Synapse is no different.

I don't know what you guys are doing to get such crappy results, I use Razer Synapse with 3 items, the Razer BlackWidow X Chroma keyboard, Razer Naga Trinity mouse and the Razer Firefly V2 mousepad and I never had any problems such as high ram or CPU usage and program crashes. Maybe it's hardware specific, maybe it just doesn't like your hardware and doesn't get along with it...just my 2 cents.

I'm using Huntsman V2 and Deathadder V3. I don't use the software at all, it is laggy and very hard to enter synapse(as huntsman v2 needs Synapse 4 in order to set polling rate). I cranked polling rate to both mouse and keyboard to 8000hz, set gaming mode on keyboard(no debounce delay), set my dpi presets on mouse and uninstalled that terrible software. I don't use rgb at all, i turn all lights off. The settings i need were all saved(needed to save on onboard memory before uninstall). The devices feel great to use without that bloatware installed(synapse 4 also stutters my inputs a lot for no reason).

It's still such a horrid shame that even new releases of Mice coming out of Razer Corp (se) requires their install of Synapse 3.0 onto your PC.

Could you imagine, designing a super-fast machine with high end CPU, RTX 4090 and 8000Mhz memory and still be forced to install a morose, slow-arse Software that constantly monitors your system like some greedy spy-shill and sending back to Razor all your details 24/7.

Just avoid purchasing any Razor product unless you want to slow down your whole system with Razor junk-ware :poop::poop::poop::poop::poop: .

I have Battlefield 3 Black Widow Ultimate Keyboard and Deathadder mouse. I've had the keyboard since around 2012ish and I'm typing on it now still works like the day I got it. I am on my second Deathadder, but I've had it now for around 6 years. Their products have served me well and I enjoy them.

My experience has just been different I guess. Haven't really had a problem with the software either. It's not anymore invasive than my phone that constantly listens to me.

My biggest gripe is I wish more games were made for Linux because ultimately Windows is the main issue for me. I like my games though.

Geezus H. Khrist, there is Synapse 4 now being peddled out to Razer Simps today.

Bought some DeathAdder V3 with cables, then found out that they are pushing their 4th version of that atrocity. Plus also pushing various other (bundled) useless apps, which I never use whatsoever.

So be careful when doing the first install, only pick Synapse 4 and nothing else, otherwise it'll install over a 1 TB of junkware onto your nice new and clean system.

Have Revo uninstaller on my system, Synapse 4 shall be removed/extinguished after setting up the new systems with their new DeathAdders.

Anyway to use synapse without reporting back?

Completely shut all reporting to Razer?
