I have a set of monoprice Premium Hi-Fi DJ Style Over-the-Ear Pro Headphone 8323 headphones that im pretty tired of. These things are just uncomfortable and honestly at loud volume the left ear crackles so I need something new

What I am looking for is something that I dont need an AMP for. I will be using what ever headset for Gaming, Blurays & connecting to my Galaxy S3. I want something a but more comfortable that offers great sound with maybe alittle bass.

What are some cheaper headphones to look for. Is this possible at 100 or less?

Ad700s or the aurvana lives. The ad700s are 100 and the lives are 75. As i said these will see many different uses from gaming, music (mixed: country, hip-hop n some newer rock), and i do watch alot of blurays.

Ill be using what ever on my gs3, ipod, psvita and pc. I also have it so i can use any headphones on my ps3 and my 360. I use headphones alot

Since the AD700s have zero bass, it's kind of an obvious choice. Only reason anyone should buy AD700s is for competitive gaming really.

i had a chance to try the CAL's today and they are a HUGE improvement in every aspect over my mono price headset im using. The CALs are super light and they dont actually feel like they are on your head at all. The monoprice set I have are very heavy and dont even fit my ears correctly and within an hour are uncomfortable. I used the CALs for about 2 hours straight and not a single issue.

I do feel tho that I might want to save up a bit. Just worried that If I buy these I will be jipping myself for something better. Here what I am asking. I am looking for an ALL around headset. Gaming, Music (with some bass) and blurays. what is the next step up over the CALs that dont use some sort of pocket amp or amp in general.

Well I'm glad I came across this thread because I do have the monoprice ones in my wishlist. Did you get the CAL yet? Happy with them? I was hoping to find something cheaper actually...

Im loving my cals very clean sound, bass is really good an not over powering. No matter what kind of music i listen to the cals dont miss a beat. They are super light and u really dont notice them on ur head at all. Played 9 hours of gears 3 yesterday and they never got uncomfortable.

i cant say the same for my monos. After 25 mins the monos are uncomfortable, hot and are heavy. The monos have no nass to speak of. The monos imo to these are junk
