A Ryzen f chip? I am confused. With intel f denotes locked out gpu. One could do the same with AMD I suppose, but I’ve never heard of them doing it. Intel actually laser cuts the traces. 500 series stuff was generally not sold in N. America or Europe at all, h which kinda means nothing in these days of international internet mail order) and generally had one locked out cpu core. They were generally cheaper. If this is still the case it should be a radically lower price. Highest likelihood is this is conflated. I might just be behind though.

 

If you do render and compression from time to time, go with 7700.
If you only do gaming, go with 7500F.
Also it depends how sensitive you are to the price gap. $100 between 7700 and 7500F? Also I am not sure whether the 7500F comes with the boxed cooler which may be worth $35 or so.

Price difference is actually more 70 euros or $78 than 100 ish

 

If you did not purchase RTX 4070 yet, you can upgrade it to RTX 4070 Super with the extra cash.

The 7500F is actually a nifty little CPU, it's basically a 7600 but a bit lower clocks. Not much that can't be compensated with good cooling though, mine boosts to 5050 Mhz for prolonged bursts.

Actually, the best would have been the 9600 even if it costs more. It's better on thermals and some benches like opening a web browser actually outperforms pretty much anything on it.

I like my 7500F, but one thing it lacks compared to my 5900X is definitely it being a 6 core. Like when I open a full threat scan on Malwarebytes, it just pegged near %100 today. If you're just gaming and basic everyday tasks, it's great but for heavier multi-tasking, I'd keep the 7700.

 

The 9600x cost more than a 7700x

A few games the 9600x is faster but much hotter than a ryzen 7700x = a 7700 would run cooler

The 7500f is as fast in multicore as a 5700X and and 5700X3D

Meaning 6 core has the power of 8 cores but the single core is about 30% faster than 5700X3D and around 20% of a 5700X, + 6% with a 7700 over a 7500f, that makes a difference

I do have a 5700X3D, yes it's good all core max is 3800-4000mhz ish, i think it could be around 4000mhz mabye even 4050-4100mhz on all cores, you just can't oc it like a normal cpu and there you have it, apps don't open as fast as my 7500f, things don't react as fast with the 3d cpu as my 7500f do to increased single core performance, my 7500f runs at 4850mhz on all cores in stresstests,bencmarks like cinebench r23

Although a 5700X3D is good for gaming it's nothing special when not gaming, it's fast enough for heavy multitasking but apps don't react,open fast do to mediocre boost clock

Do to the high ipc,single core i have seen it beat the 5700X3D and 5800X3D in some games

Last thing is i have games that for som reason despite wht cpu i have is using my cpu 100%

One being the crew 2 another that uses my cpu alot is horizon zero dawn, for a spil second or 2 it lack a little on my second monitor where a twitch stream is running or tv,netflix it's still outperform first and second gen ryzen byt alot, even the ryzen 7 up to a 3800x both in single core and multi core

 

5700X3D is faster than a 7700 for gaming most of the time.

I usually like 8 cores over 6 because very simply the ps5 has 8 cores. Hasn’t been an issue yet though. Might never be. Or not. The whole 6 core vs 8 core thing is scheduled to make a difference-if it ever does-at the end of the ps5’s life when they start pushing the hardware as hard as it can be made to go. It’s all about thread count. If a 6 core chip has 13 threads or more it has to multi process them, to which a lot of overhead attaches. An 8 core chip can do 16 threads without trouble. If a cpu is fast enough to absorb the extra 3 threads and not have problems it has a chance. It depends on how heavily laden those extra 3 threads are. If they’re light weight a fast 6 core can handle it. (Which is why I don’t fully trust that “multi core testing” thing.). when you ok at multi core stuff the threads get smaller and smaller. IF so manages to write a game that actually require full loading on all the threads (which hasn’t happened yet and may never) a 6 core chip could get bogged down.the number keeps extending outward. The 3600 was once considered the preferred chip for gaming, but it started to be less than stellar many months ago. I don’t know if the5600 has had that problem yet or not. If so the 7600 hasn’t yet, AFAIK

runs cool medium sized artic freezer 36 cooler occt max 70c +peaking at 5043mhz in occt.

A 5800x cant do that it gets hotter

 

The AMR Ryzen 5 7500F comes with a stock cooler, well I got one with my cpu but I went with a 280mm AIO instead. I all honesty. the performance of the cpu is really good. When I compare it to my previous 8 and 12 core processors it does really well.
