Go to the installation folder and look in there for physx.exe and then run it to uninstall it then run it again to install and then restart you computer. Some games require that physx is installed to play like Metro 2033.

If that doesn't work or if the game crashes while playing you can always download the current version of PhysX directly from the NVIDIA website.

Though you have a AMD card some games still require PhysX to run. My NFS Shift 2 kept crashing with the PhysX version packaged with the game but a PhysX update fixed everything.

IVE INSTALLED the latest physX from the site i launched SHIFT 2 and every thing worked out gud but ive heard people using AMD AND nvidia cards BUT ive heard that its kinda tricky and complicated because i got a GTS250 laying around in its box

 

I would just use your 6870 to be honest.

It's normal. Some games require the physx dll because they ARE physx enabled games. Metro is another that will not run straight out of a fresh install if you have no physx installed.

 

this happened to me with SHIFT 2, On the shift 2 install DVD their is a folder called PHYS Install,,,or something close. In the folder run the install, remove / then reinstall . You might have to do the same for the game ...don't for get to reboot after each task. I had an ATI video card.

 

I just used the exe for the game in the game folder. instead of the shortcut on the desk top.
