I need some help overclocking my 2600K

I've set multiplier to 44 and voltage to 1.300V, and RAM on XMP profile (1600MHz, 1.65V)

but no mather what test i run (intel burn on maximum), frequency wont run at overclocked, but on something like 3.5 or 3.8GHz

and this also happens if it's OC-ed only on 4GHz

temperature doesn't go over 65 degrees on 4.4GHz OC with maximum intel burn test

what is throttling this? speedstep?

Yes, I have tried everything (except contacting intel lol)

this has become ridiculous

I've now loaded default settings and raised nothing but multiplier to achieve 4.100 MHz and now tested with LinX program - it locks to 3.9GHz

i'm going crazy

yes

but did I mention that when testing with SuperPi, frequency always goes up to maximum overclocked

why not with other programs?

i'm starting to think it's software problem

omg, could it really be PSU problem? I've calculated power consumption with http://www.thermaltake.outervision.com/Power tool and it recommended me 850W PSU (if overclocked to 4.5 GHz, if not 612W lol?), I have 700W :S

oh well, i'll just keep it at 4.5GHz...

I've tried 5.0GHz on 1.36V and the computer freezes after a minute in Windows, 4.9 GHz works fine and Intel Burn tool on standard stress level goes through, but on next high level it shows warning that cpu isn't stable. I don't want to go any higher with voltages...

anyway, thank you very much for your help, at least I know the cause of problem now...well partially
