Hey guys.
Quick question. What ultimately causes a GPU to die when overclocking? Is it only the temp? If so, staying within reasonable temps won't alter the length of its lifespan, correct?
I'm just wondering because I'm getting really cool readings after overclocking. I hear people say you will fry your GPU by overclocking. I'm just wondering if they mean it is solely because of heat, nothing else. Meaning being cautions of heat will not affect its lifespan whatsoever.
