I bought the GPU heatsink that has the heatpipe added on im waiting for that to be delivered to see if theres any difference in the temperature

I've had a Jasper since summer 2008 with ZERO issues. Any revision Jasper and beyond is very reliable. I nearly traded up for the new model, but decided it wasn't necessary

I have a question about my Xbox 360. I had a Falcon one (i think, it is a 12.4A on the 12V) but something fail on it and my local store change my mobo (because my Microsoft warranty was off but i still on the store warranty). I register the new mobo with the number on the front of my xbox (where the USB port are) and it said I have a Xbox 360 Elite but mine is a pro! But, after that change, my PSU connector wasn't the same so i send my old one (the one who come with the Falcon) to microsoft and i still wait for it.

So now, how to know what is my Xbox revision? They didn't change my sticker on the back so I only have the serial number of my Xbox.

Thanks

If it was an Elite it was most likely a Falcon. No Xenon (crap) Elites were made. It could have been the jasper. If the powerplug was different (as you said) from your old Falcon, but the connector still could fit in.. then it was a Jasper.

Some picture to explain will maybe help :

PSU connector (Female, I think) :

PSU connector (Male, I think) but it is a Intec one. It is one who my local store pass to me.

You see on the Xbox one, a plastic pine in the middle and my old PSU plug have a bar in the middle

. So they pass me that crappy ****ing loud PSU.

I wonder if it can help to say which revision they put in my Xbox

All of this information + more is available on Wikipedia...

I had made a research but I haven't found what i was searching for, i will go back and edit my post if i found.

Edit: I didn't find any specification on the physical difference between a Jasper/Falcon PSU but... maybe a bad news for me, the Xbox PSU are forwards compatibles and not backwards. So they put a older mobo in my Xbox. Shame on my store XD

Thanks

Great. Why don't you hang out on Wikipedia then.

I'll hang out here where people are generally cool for the most part(*ahem*) and where I can conversate about the things I like to, without being bothered by people who feel the need to interject that all the info is available on Wikipedia.

Now run a long Mate I think I hear your mother calling.

Oh and to Lee17...

You got it back asswards Mate. Console is a Male fitting. Plug is a female fitting. I don't know how they can call it like that but they do. One would think that if you plug in to a socket that is the male end. But nope not in electronics.

Solid effort though.

What core is the gears of war 3 edition. I just got it to replace my dead old one and wasn't sure if it was the August 2011 release or the 2010.

Sent from my iPhone 4 using Tapatalk.

the gears 3 one is basically the 360S with a flashy paint job and no internal 4gb flash memory. it has a 45nm chip that contains both gpu and cpu, meaning it has dramatically reduced heat and power requirements, and it can be cooled with a single heat sink. i know, i have it

specially all the 360 S are the same, with the ones without a harddrive containing a 4gb flash intneral memory.

I fyou do get a new 360 S, you can get your old 360 harddrive, take off the casing around it, then put it into a 360 S HDD shell, and itll work perfect
