So this is a screenshot of what coretemp is showing;
298

And this is how my build looks (I added three more 120mm fans and a fan controller) :
400

I'm thinking my temps should be slightly lower when idle, don't you think? I just wanted to grab some answers before I re-do a few things. That enermax fan is slightly broken because i mounted it in my cm6990ii case and the last screw was stripped and i had to rip that fan out...

Your best shot might be to reseat it. What are your ambient temps?

yeah that is def running a little hot, is it a new rig ? When I first built my rig, a 2600k on an asus P8z68-v my temps were around the same, I flashed the bios and temps went down to normal something to try before you go ahead and remount. Also what are your ambient temps ?

Slightly new to OC'ing, by ambient do you mean room temperature?

Pump set to 100%?
Both of those fans you see are exausting, since the fan was broken i thought i could use that as well. The actual corsair fan with the cpu connector is at top ( I think unless the h60 block has the 4 pin connector, I think that is the case) exausting. How do I set the pump to 100%??

This rig is almost a year old, I got this cooler like 2 months ago. I flashed to the latest bios for my asus p867 evo motherboard. I do have 2 gpu's, a 560 ti and a 8800gts because I am using 3 monitors.

Ambient is room temperature. Also, did you plug the pump wire into the power supply and NOT a mobo fan header? Plugging it into the mobo could make it run at less than 100% which isn't good for these pumps from what I've read.

I don't know what my room temp is right now, its not really hot though, I did plug the cpu pump into my mobo. Does corsair supply a 4pin to 4pin molex adapter to do so?

With the pump, no. I'd suggest not using your PC until you can get it plugged into the power supply. You should be able to get one of those adapters cheap somewhere nearby.

I have a bunch of 3pin to 4 pin molex adapters, but not 4 to 4. Can I get such a thing at frys?

I don't have one nearby so I haven't used them at all. But I do know they have a quite a few computer parts, so I would imagine so. I think any electronic store would have one of those adapters since it's a pretty simple piece.

You mean the thermal paste? It was cleaned up since I bought it used here on OCN, so I used this antec thermal paste I had, it is possible I did a crappy job on the thermal paste, I normally use a index card and spread the paste but I didn't. I am quite sure the backplate is secure, I'll have to check tomorrow.

edit: I'm reading this in Tom's hardware.

The 'all-in-one' maintenance-free loops have high idle temps, and in the BIOS make sure CPU Q-Fan Function -> Disabled for 100% pump speed.
Should I do this? I'm not sure what it is set to.

Ambient is room temperature.

Is you pump conected to your mobo or PSU via molex? If molex, your at 100%. if mobo, with something like HW monitor or Speedfan, should be somewhere between 1500 - 2000 rpm

addit.. whoa, massively ninja'ed

I have a 3 pin that doesn't have the plastic around it.. Should I just plug it in through that or my fan controller? MY Fan controller is only using 3 out of 6.

Says CPU is about 900RPM
700

700

Edit, does my 560 ti temp look ok? Precision X shows 49% fan speed right now.

There is your problem. 900 rpm is way to slow, you need to ramp it up. It should be in the thousands.

GPU is a liltte warm especially at those volts. Fans look okay though. Whats your load temps like...

Lets get your CPU sorted first

as you stated...

So disable Q fan if it is enabled and then change fan speed? If those don't work then a reseat I presume?

Yes and no.

Yes. go the Q fan option and

No, a reseat wont make your pump go faster.

Alternatively, hook the pump up to the PSU via a molex cable. That will give you the full 12v.
