Considering the cards needed to push one of these monitors, you'd need a couple to run with most of the options. The R9 295x2 has four dp ports but I couldn't see this card pushing four of these monitors unless it was really low settings. I think two 295x2 you could run two of these monitors with close to max settings.

Although, thinking it over, if you went two 780 ti classy's in sli once bugs are fixed, you could probably push two of these and you would have your two dp's.

Thanks, can the integrated water cooler be modded or removed? I don't have the room to install one 295X2, let alone two of them...

Yes I am

DisplayPort, 3480x2160, 133.3kHZ, 60HZ is what it says

Thanks for the link. I got:

It might've been the size settings that was throwing me off. Everything looks ok now. I'm using "Smaller" with a 125% Zoom in IE10.

Yeah I think these drivers "work" in that we can use 4k and turn on sli but they seem to have cause a few issues of their own for me, as I've already said changing far cry 3 or crysis 3 to 4k res from the ingame menus will instantly cause drivers to crash. I've now noticed bf4 is the same way, although if the game starts up in 4k it will work but runs like crap and doesn't go over 60-70% gpu usage. The fps will stay at 60 for a while then plummet to 10-20-30 then back to 60, I've monitored my VRAM usage and it's using <1.8gb so that's not the problem and I wouldn't think a i7 4770k 4.5 would be bottlenecking me. Back to the crashing, if I lower the res to 1440p I get all kinda of on screen anomlys, so I go back into the ingame settings, change it back to 2160p and boom crash. Just to test this I edited the bf4 config to start in 2160p and it will crank back up fine but I'm still stuck with the game running horribly and fps all over the place as stated.

You can change the dpi of the widgets also, along with the size of your shortcuts...

I posted on the 295 chat the following removing the stock block

My personal thoughts, I wouldn't modify it, little benefits and you need it for your warranty.
Well I just don't have the space inside my case.. thanks for the link, I'm reading it now

But now that I think about it, I would be upgrading from a single GTX680. Wouldn't it be best to wait for, say, the Titan Z or GTX 880 (whichever comes out first)?

BF4 runs fine for me in SLI @ Ultra without MSAA. The only game I notice issues with is Diablo 3 which artifacts like mad when in SLI, but SLI isnt really necessary for that game, so I simply disabled it.

And I will say again, as it seems the last time I wrote it someone deleted it, that I'm very thankful for ManuelG's help here. Without people like him monitoring threads and issues like this we would've been waiting months longer for a fix for SLI, and to be honest, without SLI this was merely a productivity monitor.

Yeah I'm running it at ultra with all the extras off and fps just randomly drop, has to be driver then bc I was playing with one card before with smoother results. Plus when I played at 1080p 120hz it stay pegged at 120 fps.

Wow and dayz work great tho

The 780 ti classified did good pushing this monitor but the size of the 780 was close to the 295. I would expect the 880 or titan z to be close to the same size. Here's a pic I had with 295 with water block next to 295x2 with water block.

(the link was just some quick pic's removing the block but it was pretty straight forward)

My apologies for not being clear, but my issue is not with the card itself but the cooler. I do not have room for 295X2's radiator nor the budget to build a custom loop and connect everything to that.

Just a update, turned sli back off and again tried bf4, far cry 3, and crysis 3, and all will go to 4k without crashing so it's definitely is a driver issue.

Now after testing each at 4k with sli enabled; crysis plays pretty well, far cry and bf4 have lots of stutter, even at a steady 60 fps. Waiting for some drivers

Yeah, I can't say I had the same issue with the games crashing but, as previously mentioned, the stutter is unbearable even when a game is reporting 60fps.

I read this 4k (multi-stream) review before picking up my second card and it appears the Kepler gpu's might be more prone to larger frame time variance at 4k? Maybe it's vram related?

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/pq321q-4k-gaming,3620-4.html

However, In this review he mentions it wasn't particularly noticeable.

So yeah, I guess I'm waiting for drivers again as well......

This Samsung monitor is "single paned" though. Those of us with these kinds of setups are on the cutting edge though...I'm sure they'll get this sorted eventually as 4K is a big thing for Nvidia.

Yeah, I know, that's why I mentioned the review was on a multi-stream model.

I'm not saying it should perform exactly like those benchmarks, I understand the technologies are different.

Just speculating why it might be happening.

If you don't mind me asking what's the experience like with your 780ti's? I'd like to know if the stuttering is happening on the GK110 setups as well....

So I've discovered that when the PC resumes from sleep and windows will not see anything higher than 2560 I can power off the monitor and back on. Much easier than unplugging the cord. Dunno what to do... Is it NVidia or Samsung...

Would 2 gtx 780ti superclocked be enough to play 4k?

Absolutely. When testing 4K, a lot of reviewers are still using AA at 4x and in turn cripple frame rates by doing so.

With my PB278Q 1440p, 2x AA will make a small difference that I have to look for to find. 4x AA doesn't seem to change anything.

The 590D has 44% greater pixel density than my PB278Q and should look just as good without AA as others in this thread have already claimed.

I'll be running my 590D with 780 Ti SLI. It comes in tomorrow.

Please run some benchmarks ASAP... im trying to cut back on my build. .. getting rid of the 3rd 780ti and water block would save me like $900 bucks lol

I am currently using those cards (780ti superclocked SLI) with this monitor (US version) and the latest beta drivers 337.81. Those cards are a great match for this monitor and you won't need really more than 2x MSAA for most games. The new beta drivers solved the SLI issue some people were having.
