I'm looking for motherboards for a build and I really want to use this board but really worried about the NVMe slot issue people were having. I plan on using all 4 m.2 slots.

is there still an issue with using all 4 slots???
I am running 3 x WD_BLACK SN850X 4GB and an older Samsung 960 EVO. So all slots are in use and I have zero problems with my build.

Gigabyte says in this mobo specs that "The PCIEX16 slot can only support a graphics card or an NVMe SSD. If only one graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot."

Does this means that when I installed a dedicated GPU, I can install only three M.2 disks?
The board has 4 M.2 slots. M2A and M2B are directly connect to the CPU using PCIe 5.0 x4, while the two other slots are connected via the two chip sets and use PCIe 4.0 x4. None is shared, so you can always use all 4 slots.
According to some, the fourth slot can make some troubles. In my build everything works as expected.

You should put your GPU in the PCIEX16 slot, because it's simply the fastest one. The other two slots are only PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 3.0 x2 (if occupied, SATA 3/4 will be disabled.)

Anyone try this yet? I'm not at my computer atm so may try later this evening. I hope eclk is fixed.
...saw your post over at the DDR5 AMD thread on Nitro...never used Nitro before on this system - where is it in the Aorus Master Bios (memory training; tap ?) as I have been looking for the term 'Nitro' . Tx

AMD overclocking. DDR settings.(forget the exact steps, but once in the amd overclocking and ddr settings you will see it) It will be on by default at 2/3/1 auto auto.

So what's the consensus on F22a,
1.) ie. re. higher nominal FCLK, impact on RAM OC, eclk functionality (already confirmed by some) ?
2.)I have new RAM 8400 coming later in the week for the 7950X3D / 670E Aorus Master, plus Win 23H2 ready to install but not yet loaded - do the bios update before or after new RAM and 23H2 ?

F22a just disappeared, no other info yet
That usually means there is another due. Wasn't taking down for being unstable as I'm running it without issue since it was released.
...with Gigabyte, it is best to downland bios versions to your system and just build a nice pantry

Hello all! I have been using the aorus master for a month or so right now, along with the 7950x3d and a 2 x 24gb Patriot Xtreme 8000C38 kit.

Everything was working great until yesterday, with buidzoid's timings (36-48-46-40) and all the secondary timings exactly like he proposed (testmem 5 and y-cruncher stable for hours). Fclk at 2100. Bios F21 and voltages completely stock except the SOC which was 1.26v. VDD 1.45v, VDDQ 1.4v, MEMIO 1.35v. CPU completely stock too.

Yesterday, as i tried turning the computer on, it did not boot. It did 3 restarts and the bios was reset to default settings. I started changing the settings again one by one, followed by a restart, first xmp, then flck, then soc voltage, then the timings. When changing the timings no boot again.

Starting again from scratch i changed each of the timings one by one and restarted. tRP was 46 before now needed 48 to boot. tRC was completely stable at 86 before, now needed 90 just to boot. tRTP from 12 it needed default 30 etc. Almost all timings are not stable anymore. I mean the computer does not boot or shows error 55 depending on the timing changed. I flashed f22a, f22b, f20, f13d and nothing changed. XMP 1 8000c38 works but i havent' been able to run a heavy stress test yet. Boots to windows and works ok at first glance.
The second problem which i had realized just before the problem with the ram, was that out of the blue, the performance of the system was compromised. I elaborate. Cinebench R23 with the aforementioned settings (cpu stock, 8000c36 with buildzoid's timings, fclk 2100) gave a score of around 35600. Now it runs with 32000 which is lower than completely stock with memory on auto which means 5200cl50. Previously, with Curve optimizer at a variety of settings per core from -15 to -35, tested rigorously over 5 days with core cycler and aida memory benchmark, i achieved a cb r23 score of 37200. Now with the same settings i achieved 34000 at most. Geekbench 5 is again around 10% slower both in single and multicore. Geekbench is mostly ram dependent for the score.

I am building computers since 1995 and overclocking since a little after that. I have overclocked with phase change, liquid nitrogen, liquid helium etc, along with my friends phil and firekiller many times. I just sold my 13900KS and Aorus Tachyon which i had optimized perfectly. I am trying to say that i know my stuff. This has never happened before.
No windows update has been installed and nothing was changed in the os at this time.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you all for your time reading my essay.
