Hello everyone,
I have the Zotac 3090 Ti Amp Extreme Holo and would like to know if a different BIOS would improve performance.
For instance, would it be possible to operate the card with an ASUS BIOS to synchronize the RGB lighting?
To my knowledge, all bios's "work". You can even flash 2pin card with 3pin etc.. but reading are all out of whack.
I have an AMP CORE HOLE I have run for years on the 500w Galax Rebar

I'd be curious to know if anyone on here is gaming on their 3090 on Windows 11 (23h2), and if so what driver version you're on.

I'm currently on 551.61, 551.76 - latest was buggy for me on COD and Heckdivers, but thinking of pushing back to the previous branch of 532.34 based on some older reddit recommendations.

I totally understand it depends on the games people play and their personal use cases but wanted to ask if anyone felt like sharing or felt strongly about it :)

I have a AORUS 3090 and have had Win11 freezing on every Nvidia driver version above 537.42.

I update each time a game ready driver is released, only to have to rollback due to the same issues every time.

where can I download it ABE v0.09?
What is ABE?

I wonder if your windows image is corrupted. Try running:

1. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

2. sfc /scan now

3. chkdsk /f /r /x

All as admin and then restart. The last one will do a thorough corruption check and could take multiple hours so run while you're asleep. Hopefully that fixes your freezing.

Not likely. When I originally noticed the problem, back when the nvidia driver 537.42 I'm using was fairly new.

I did a fresh install of Windows 11, which didn't fix it.

For some reason every fresh install of windows I do has has corruptions found by sfc /scannow (I like memory overclocking on a production system so I format a lot lol).

I would recommend running it just in case, chkdsk is less necessary but DISM and sfc take about 5 mins.

any of you guys ever run into this issue my 3090 kingpin has a wierd issue all of sudden i cant change core clock or volts but i can memory i tried differnt bios, differnt drivers, restoring windows back a few days even running stock bios settings. Tried using msi afterburner and evga xoc neither will hold clocks in a game once it gets a load the card volts drop to 1006mv or less and under 1900-2050 core clock.

Does GPUZ/HWINFO show a limit reason when it downclocks like that?

was saying power for even the 120 bios so and sitting at around .98volts, but i just flashed the xoc on it and i think that might of fixed it now gonna test some more. So wierd this just started doing this last couple days outa the blue i got this card at launch always been fine.

Well, make sure the bios are flashing properly. If you leave a display port or hdmi plugged in to the card it’ll still hold that other bios and won’t clear it out even after flipping the switch, at least mine did anyways. Make sure you have EVGA Precision installed before hand, power off PC and switch GPU bios position, hit the PSU switch off and unplug hdmi/display port Cables. Give it like 2 minutes, then power back on and launch EVGA Precision, see if the GPU has to update the firmware according. Usually EVGA Precision will say so.

If that doesn’t work, I would run DDU driver cleaner, switch around your 8 pin PCIe plugs, and make sure they are fully seated in to PSU and the card as well.

Are you using classified tool? It’s possible you have a very low voltage to the MSVDD or NVDD applied and that’s forcing the low voltage/ low power/ low clocks.

I’d probably re-seat the card too just for the heck of it.

ty for the info i did finaly get a non xoc bios to work but i has to do many flashes so like you said maybe it was holding onto a bios flash.

Fantastic, these are very tough cards for the most part. I can’t see one giving up so easily.
