I was wondering if I could use my cordless drill and buy rotary cutting disc bits for it instead (if there are) instead of buying a dremel for cutting a side window in my case? Will it be powerful enough?
It's a 18v Jobmate cordless drill, don't know the exact specs, will look it up.

I'm certain you can. Though I don't think it will be powerful enough to cut through things as quickly as a dremel does.

my cordless stinks, I'm not sure if yours is better though

but my dremel xpr400 is kind of lacking in the Torque department, which is kind of lame.

It's technically possible but you will probably have trouble with the lack of RPMs on the drill and handling a big drill will be pretty tough to get a decent cut.

Some of the Robi corded drills can reach a fair amount of speed and provide enough torque to do the job.

The down side is being impatience, pressing harder with the drill and shattering the cutting disc. You will need to take your time using a steady hand.

The major problem I can foresee with using a cutting disc on a drill is the size issue. If you use the dremel cutting discs, the drill will be significantly larger than the disk and as such extremely hard to line everything up to get a good cut; on the other hand, if you were to use cutting disks for an angle grinder, then the problem you'd face is that the disk is so big that it'll be harder to control.

The best would really be to use a dremel since it can e used single-handedly and is very useful for a wide range of things.
