28 vs. 40 lanes.
Okay, I can swing $350 for a CPU, it's the MB and RAM pricing that may be a problem though. Hopefully I can save enough from my new job to make it happen. What are the odds of picking up the combo for @$800?
Yea but it's more than twice as slow (100-200% slower). The performance per watt on these are much much higher than any AMD parts.
Better than paying $1K for a Titan.
You do know that there's a very good chance that the exact same will happen with this thing as with the Titan?
It won't. No Devils Canyon on Z87 boards.
Nah, that's totally not in line with their previous extreme CPU prices. i think it's gonna be 400 - 550 -1100.
that wont happen, if intel releases a 400$ 6 core it will destroy the market for Haswell and Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge E, the lowest price that hexa core is gonna be is 575$Nah, that's totally not in line with their previous extreme CPU prices. i think it's gonna be 400 - 550 -1100.
Just 3GHz on the 8-core. I wonder if it'll overclock well.
