(SOLVED) HELP!: Steam CS:S Download not working

I purchased Counter Strike: Source today on steam, but it won't download, it just sits there and says "download starting" (been doing that for a good 4 hours). Anyone know what is happening and how to fix it?

And yes, I tried restarting my machine, didn't help.

either delete the whole steam apps folder or delete the GCF's and try again

Is it directly in the steam folder, or in a subfolder? cause I can't find it.

log out then reboot ur computer

log back in.. see if that helps. works for me all the time

If you deleted the entire games folder (all games and saves), then you need to contact Valve/Steam and ask them what is wrong.

I would uninstall steam then reinstall it.

Usually if you delete ClientRegistry.blob it fixes the issue. I would reinstall Steam at this point.

Also try turning off your firewall before you start to download.

Okay, I re-installed steam, seems everything is working now. Re-DL'ing my games as we speak.
