I use the Arctic thermo pads for my RAM mainly due to the Hardness: 25 Shore 00 is very soft, and thickness options 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5mm. The soft pads work well for ram, and the thickness options are exactly the size I need for my BartX heatshields. https://bartxstore.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Copper-RAM-Heatsinks-Assembly-Manual-rev-0.2.pdf

I have never used PTM 7950 pads, seems the thickness options are 0.2 - 1.00MM would be an issue for my RAM heatshields.

I dont think ptm7950 will perform better on ram anways. It needs 45C+ to turn liquid. Then you should increase pressure a bit to sqeeze it. On direct die high temp it is very good. For gpus and notebooks it rocks. I got 3C lower core and 5.5C lower hotspot on my 4070 with ptm7950 vs MX6. On 7800X3D it performs identical to MX6. On direct die I bet it will win except with good watercooling where it will perform like MX6 due to low temp.

Ptm7950 is awesome and very close to liquid metal on:
  • Direct die aircooling cpu, gpu and notebook
  • On DDR4 that handles high temps fine like Micron E/B or Hynix DJR it will probably be a good idea. Maybe on future DDR5 that is not prone to filecorruption when running tight tREFI/tRFC.

Performs like good thermal paste (but costs more and is hard to apply(, but worse than LM on:
  • All watercooling if temp is sub 50C
  • IHS with aircooler
  • Ram except if ram is running at 50C+ which kinda is problematic due to tREFI and tRFC due to filecorruption.

I believe it's UCLK pushing VSOC.

If you're running 6400/6600 in 1:1 chances are you're just going to need a high VSOC.

People like me running low VSOC are running in 2:1.
If I remember correctly 6200 1:1 stresses vsoc like 8000 2:1. Vddp may be a bit higher on 8000 though?

Are there already leaks what we can expect in zen5 in mem oc? And do you guys stuck on the gene or upgrade to x870e gene/apex or something
I wont be upgrading my board from the Gene x670e, X870 doesnt bring anything new to the table, multiple sites have stated that if you already have an X670 with USB 4 then dont waste your money on X870.

at the moment, Ryzen 9000 seems a bit underwhelming to me, I will probably wait it out and see what 9000X3D brings, im hearing some good things about the X3D variants, like they are still working on them, clocks not so limited by the 3D cache, they are hoping for them to be more in line with regular 9000 series chips, both CCDs having 3D cache on them if you go for say a 9900X3D or 9950X3D and also unlocked for overclocking at your own risk as they are struggling to keep them temperatures in check.

Where are you guys getting these memory testing programs from like runmemtestpro 7.0 and memtest kguix?

RunMemtestPro is just Memtest Pro with a different GUI on it, its DangWang 1.0, but you'll still need to purchase Memtest Pro to use it [Download] RunMemtestPro Memory Testing Software - BenchLife.info

I use TM5, its free and theres loads of different configs you can run, I start with 1usmus test for 10 passes, then go an make any changes, once ive reached the ram's limits or as far as im willing to push it, as long as its passing 1usmus, I then load up Anta Absolute config and test overnight with that, (25 passes), if you can pass that, you can pass anything.
Im running it right now in fact whilst I tweak my 48gb kit, few days of tightening things up yet ;)

Test the IMC with Y-Cruncher

Cant wait to delid that buddy

Looking for extra tight m die ddr5 amd timings please.
I need a goal for my 96gb sticks
Below is for 96 GB M-die at CL30, consisting of 2 x 24 GB GSkill 7200 and 2 x 24 GB GSkill 8400; even matched tPHYRDL. I also ran CL 28 with that 96 GB 'combo' but did not do extensive testing.

Thanks, im working on the TeamGroup 2 x 24gb kit at the moment, so this also give me a good idea of what to aim for, whats your voltages ?

Wow, you must have one hell of an IMC on your chip for that, im already at 1.57 VDD and VDDQ, 1.43 VDDIO.
With the same dimms you've got. ;)
Not 6400 only because my IMC sucks.
