Hi,

Yesterday i saw some pee on my LCD Screen. (yeah i know, sounds funny ^_^)

I just took some paper and i cleaned it out.

Everything was ok until the next day i came back from work.

When i came back the screen had this problem. (see image, i used a white background just so you can see the problem clearly)

I opened my monitor, cleaned everywhere with paper but problem remains.

As the time goes by, i can see the problem spreads. Now i can see some dots here and there.

Is there anything i cant do to fix it?

My suggestion is kill the cat.... Problem solved.

But really, I'm not too sure there is anything that can be done now. Normally with anything electronic that gets wet you want to remove power immediately and let it dry out. You can speed up the process by putting it in dry rice. But since you are past that point I would suggest unplugging it and take it apart and dry everything you possibly can. Maybe even use a hairdryer on low heat to speed it up. I wouldn't put power back on it until you are 100% sure it is completely dry. But you will still have the smell.

You may be able to look into spraying isopropyl alcohol on it before drying to kill the smell. I would suggest doing a little research before you do that tho, because I'm just shooting from the hip. Good luck.

Here's a buffing cloth that might get it out - also doubles as a mouse pad:

I'd probably replace the old pee filled screen with a nice new one and upgrade from a cat to a dog.

You could try a 50lb bag of rice but that is a long shot - a new monitor and a better pet seems like the best outcome from this situation.

They say if you spray a cat with a squirt gun about 10 times they'll learn when they are doing something wrong or you can speed up the process and use a BB gun once.

Did you buy a new monitor? If the 50lb bag of rice to dry out your old monitor didn't work, you could try putting your cat in the 50lb bag of rice (it's got piss all over it anyways). After a week I'm sure you cat will be dried out and won't be a threat to your new monitor.
